The International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People is a UN-organized observance. It is generally held on November 29 each year to mark the anniversary of resolution 181.
Aims of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People are:
- To remember the suffering of the Palestinian refugees who were obliged to leave their country after 1948 and 1967 wars.
- To help end occupation and make Palestine a free, independent state.
- To recognize the right of the Palestinian people to live freely and safely.
- To help release the Palestinian prisoners in the Israeli jails.

I share with you the message I posted in my Facebook:
Comment by Tasneem Hameed on November 29, 2011 at 9:30am How long the USAs conscience remain asleep, double standards rule the policies of its rulers and American people accept the injustice barbarism perpetrated on Palestinians. A country which gives lectures to other countries on human rights, freedom and democracy cares the least when it comes to these unfortunate people. We need a World Spring to get rid of this ruling clique of the countries that are supposed to be following “The rule of the people, for the people and by the people” and infect murdering people in the name of people and through the people.
