 g and MEPEACE was born.  Today I became a father. We named our baby da
 ughter Love.  Here we shine a light on 5 women, 5 men and 5 organizati

 ist and founder of Permanent Prayer 4 Peace  On-the-ground organizatio
 n - Adam Nerk Long time contributor and organizer for MEPEACE, Adam le
 ads Peace Cafes, Interfaith events, and Natural Peacetours  Contributi
 on - Dr. Gershon Baskin This year's \"Contribution - The pen  is migh
 tier than the sword\" Award, is earned by MEPEACE Board Member, Dr. Ge
 rshon Baskin, for: 1. The key role in the  exchange which freed 1,000
  prisoners and returned Gilad Shalit 2. 'Encounter Peace' - Gershon co
 ntinuing weekly column at the Jerusalem Post 3. Current book-writing a
 s the new Chair of the Board at IPCRI  Leadership -  Dr. Taleb Al Har
 ithi, Hagit Ofran, Dr. Stephen Eric Bronner These three individuals ar
 e recognized for their inspired leadership: Dr. Taleb Al Harithi - Lea
 ding Palestinian geologist and ALLMEP board member  Hagit Ofran - Cour
 ageous leader overcoming threats and obstacles in mapping settlements 
 Dr. Stephen Eric Bronner - Author and Distinguished Professor of Polit
 ical Science at Rutgers University  Innovation -  Lejla Mavris Lejla 
 is recognized for her innovation and entrepreneurial spirit for peace.
  Lejla was recommended by Nicholas Tomb, President of the board at Glo
 bal Majority which Lejla co-founded  Promise - Muayad Khaled Abu Awwad
  Muayad represents what is possible: having been physically injured in
  the conflict, he shows the bright-light promise of optimism, clear-th
 inking and inspired leadership.  ORGANIZATIONS:  Possibilities -  The
  Peace and Collaborative Development Network (PCDN) Khaled Hassanin fr
 om Cairo, Egypt, found mepeace.org on the PCDN and recommended. PCDN w
 as created by Dr. Craig Zelizer in 2006.  Innovation - All for Peace R
 adio All for Peace Radio is led by Maysa Baransi Siniora and MEPEACE b
 oard member Mossi Raz. All for Peace radio station's Hebrew frequency 
 was forced to go off air in November 2011. Innovatively, the radio too
 k to the internet at allforpeace.org.  Education - The Best Plans - Ed
 ucation for Peace The Best Plans Project is helping Israelis and Pales
 tinians win support for peace plans. Best Plans Project offers practic
 al hope for conflict resolution.  Initiative - EcoME and PRV-ME EcoME 
 Centre -  a pioneering grassroots project taking a unique holistic ap
 proach to peace work, modeling environmental, social and personal sust
 ainability in a multi-cultural context, amidst conflict.  PRV-ME -  P
 eace Research Village Middle East PRV-ME is a model a positive global 
 transition through the development of research centers and communities
