In my view, the difference between an advocate and a peacemaker is that real peacemakers:

1) Do not moderate comments on their home page.
2) Do not moderate comments on their blogs.
3) Are prepared to be *friends* with ANYONE here.
4) Respond respectfully to all others here.
5) Treat others in ways that they themselves would prefer to be treated.
Conceptually, I agree Mary.

You can always block those who really annoy you with private mesages..However, it enables the opportunity to try to handle dlicate issues privately I have only used it for that purpose once.
Oh really? :-)

That is something that we have to try to change. A few who do not see themselves as peacemakers now have great potential.
Yes, it depends on being an advocate "for what"!
How about being an advocate for peacemaking?
Thank you Sarah. I find it impossible to disagree with what you wrote. :-)
Hi Sarah,
This definition of "advocate" you're talking about is the usual one, "partisan advocacy."
I agree with you about the characteristics of the peace-seeker.
Peace can only happy between people who fight. Most Israelis want peace but do nothing and know nothing. Jew talk to Jew will get nowhere. Fighter must talk to fighter.
Thank you. But I do not feel good about being seen I do not want to hurt friends or family.

Some arabs should be in jail, some should not. true
Roni I write in english so others see.

You and I are on the same side. We are likely to agree. You are also a fighter and I respect you but there is no point talking with someone who agree with you. We in Isreal do this all the time. You and I should talk to arabs who want peace but we should speak to bad people as well. This hurts me a lot but I see no other way.
Where are arabs on mepeace. so far I talk to you and ana from spain.
.Hi Ariel
for sure arable less than Israeli on this web i think this because not all Palestinian know about it
not all Palestinian manage ENGLISH
ALSO NOT ALL PALESTINIAN HAVE COMPUTER SETS AT HOME THIS BESIDE living ramadan which has special social tradition such as gathering and spending long hours in mosques
Ariel, you make an important point,
don't overstate the case either.
When you reach agreement with someone,
that cannot mean that you have to stop talking to them.

I agree that speaking with all sides is very important, to the extent possible.
