mepeace.org - network for peace

MEPEACE,

One of the greatest and brilliant Ideas helping bringing the Palestinians & Israelis together.

I feel sorry now for MEPEACE, because it's not the way I imagine it to be.

Don't ask me, why? , I just want to know who shares the same openion with me, and you are all free to discuss it the way you like it.

Why don't you imagine mepeace to be the kind of organization you want? How do you manage it to be?
Dear Basil,
1st, mepeace is the organization that I want, and the one I work for, and also volunteer for.

2nd, You may not be of good aknowledge about mepeace as i know mepeace and the people working for mepeace in person.

3rd, How many meetings have you attended for mepeace before you started asking questions about the way people like or dislike mepeace?, Becasue i've attended many & unfortunately didn't have the chance to meet you my friend.

Anyway, hope that we can meet soon Basil, and then we might discuss it deeper if you like.

Best wishes,
Waddah
Waddah, I responded to what you wrote: MEPEACE,

I didn't understand what you wrote, so why are you attacking me? I wasn't attacking you.
you are both friends of mine from mepeace.org
I love and respect you both.

I see mepeace.org as a platform that we create the activity on it, if we create tours, meetings, parties events we create the atmosphere and by that create opportunity for ourselves to engage in action.

Waddah, Basil live in the US (when he joined mepeace I think he was in Korea ...) so it is hard to meet him face to face :)

mepeace is an open platform the enable people to connect, what they do is up to them and it can be creating friendship, connect for business, creating events or even act politically together. this is what mepeace.org enables.
You are 100% right My Friend Neri,

I hope everyone on mepeace can understand that, because all I see is people talking only about peace when it is not all about peace, It's about how to achieve peace by doing different activities by which explore new things and people.

I'm sorry my friend Basil if my words were of any offense, but beleive me i feel hurted inside, because I wanted mepeace to be what I imagine It to be, Not only peace talk, but also friendship and business and everything that might bring peace down to that table.

Thax for discussing it anyway,
Waddah
Waddah,

It is okay. Ana Ma Fahimit 3alaik Lamma inta Katabit Bil Awwal Bil Ingleezee. Sorry, iza fahimit ghalat.
I thought maybe you want something more from mepeace. I hope you find something very good from it. I know you care a lot about mepeace. I can't go to mepeace meetings. I am in America as Neri said. I have been a mepeace member since maybe February, 2009. I like people like Neri. He is a nice guy, and I like Waleed and Clara, Cigdem, Oliver, Inbal, Manal, and Eyal.... I hope for peace in Palestine. That is my focus, peace between Israelis and Palestinians. For me, that has been my focus before coming to the site.

I think some people have made some friendships on mepeace. I made some friendships. I haven't done any business. I have helped one person with English on Skype. I have been a moderator.
Thank you dear Basil,

I like to be liked by a person I like, this sentance make mepeace like facebook ... :)

I think that this is opertunity for people to write ideas of what they wish to have in mepeace, I know that Waleed is working on an event, but we can have other initiatives, like creating discussions or creating events with content that interest us.

we have in this network some knowladge and experience that I am sure will show itself when he right call will raise.
Neri,
Why we can't come up with something extraordinary to mepeace?
I want to do alot of things, why everything has to be done through the website.
We need more meetings, and workshops. I hate to feel captivated.

And you my brother Basil, Is there any Idea you can come up with from America, we would be more than glad to hear it and spread it out, let's surprise, let's step out of the shadow and shine.

Don't you think that it is now the time to say enough to the word follow, let's take the lead.

The mepeace.org is a platform for connection but what we do is not need to be under mepeace.org, same as the Natural Peace Tours me and Anas are doing is separate and stand for itself.

you have here a network of people some of them you know now in person and I am sure they will act when you invite them to activity.

we can take the lead, and that not need to be here in this network but what I, Basil and other do is to maintain this platform after all it enabled us to meet you :)

so, now lets create something new :)
Neri
For me, Neri, I am happy with being a moderator, for having conversations with you and Waddah and other people and Malcolm. For me, I am happy with that result, the exchanges.
I don't look for more than that in mepeace. I like how they talk about in psychology, and in Buddhim about expectations. My expectations are what I said, and they are met.
It's a website, and I am happy with the website compared to 1-2 years ago.
It's a clean site where people can exchange their opinions.

I think it's great that you do the Natural Peace Tours. I really enjoy the pictures. I enjoy how it makes people feel. It makes people feel positive. We need positive feelings.
Waddah,
October 22-23 IPICRI (http://www.ipcri.org/) will have another workshop. It is a good place to meet people. It is much easier to develop projects in person than online. It is in Bet Jala so no permits are needed.
Eyal also has a peace cafe in Jafa every few weeks but you need a permit to get into Israel :(
Check the calander for events and try to meet people in person. That is how we make change.
Dear Corey,
I attended many workshops, and I met too many people, good people became friends eventually.
I really appreciate your good intentions trying to help me get in touch with people in person, really thank you.
The problem is my friend that I live in a place so far from Bet Jala that will cost me fortune to get there, and as a palestinian with low life standers I don't think I can afford it, silly I know, but this is the truth.
Alot of things should be taken into consideration before inviting or even organizing for such events in the future.
I know that we can make a difference here, patience my friend is all we need at the mean time.
Hope the change will take a place in the near future.
Peace, Salam and Shalom,
Waddah
