What or where is the middle east conflict between Israel and Palestine in reality really all about?

Hi,

We all know about the history of Israel. It was a state in the past there where it is a state today.

If the facts about the Israel state are so clear , I am wondering about why or what it is the Palestinians fight about. Does this mean they do not agree with the Israeli history story or historical  facts about Israel and their existings in the past as an israeli state long time ago , or is it about something else or do they just want to have the state back the way it was when it was how it was when it was called Palestine. I really like to understand a bit  better what the real conflict is really about.

Or do the Palestinians want a state not as it was in the past where you see the Hebrew language and the Arabic language written on the coins so the speak, they want just an Arabic state so the speak with no Hebrewic letters on the coins so the speak as we see the Palestine we once knew was ruled by both Hebrew speaking people and Arabic speaking people.

This would mean the fight is about if the state should be an Arabic or Hebrewic state.

This could mean the fight is about the real history facts and both parties seem not to  agree with each other, about the real history facts

Or is there perhaps another reason for the conflict what is going on in the middle east between Israel and Palestine I do not know about?

In short terms: where is the conflict actually all about in reality and why do they not come to an agreement on what terms?

I can not say the whole conflict is really clear to me what it really is all about.

I think if we know the facts there must be able to come to a solution, so I am wondering why there still is no peace in the middle east.

the conflict is about two nations sharing one tiny land
this is a 61 years old conflict and we are now closer then ever to a real solution.
this conflict in a way is a mirror to the rest of the world and the evils that happed in the western an Arab world for many many years.

in that sense the ending of this conflict will also be a new area for everyone in the world. hopefully new relationships ,new better and rightful united nations, and more justice to every one
Ohad, I sure don't see your vision at the moment. Natenyahu is still expanding settlements and incorporating Palestine heritage into Israel. This is not conducive to peace. And there should not be 2 nations on a tiny land, they should be one people for 3 religions as before the Zionists came. It's the Arab world not Europe! And when you speak of evil let's look at the timing of that. The Arabs have always fought each other but NOT declaring themselves martyrs when they died in battle with each other. There is a big difference to what is going on now to how the Arab world was before colonization by the west. So colonization is the evil in the Middle East.
Also I am suspicious of Natenyahu's brazen move to provoke the Arabs recently with his antics and Abbas "warning" that such actions will provoke a "3rd intifada." It's a clear set up for another massacre. I sure hope the Arabs don't fall for it! If they do well...hell, dumb is as dumb does, I guess! I hope they don't.
Ohad:

The conflict is about 81 years old. Obviously the solutions that have been tried are not working.

Should we not change gears and start a new and more realistic track?
a Palestinian state next to Israel is very realistic in the very near future , after that we will talk
the majority of the Palestinians and the majority of the Israelis agree to a two state solution . every agreement in the past and every UN resolution and any international law is based on a two state solution.
the Israelis voted time after time for a two state solution and there are many polls showing the majority of the people in both nations agree to that solution
there are some Palestinians that wants all of the land and some Israelis that wants all the land and they can keep wanting
Ohad

Very interesting and I believe that this wish by the Palestinians propels them to ask for a right of return to Israel of their generational refugees?
Ohad That may be true, for all I know. But it isn't justice and by law of nature justice must prevail. Anything besides that will be temporary. Someone does not willingly share with a theif (taking the agrieved party's position here) , it has to be that they are in the weak position to do so. Otherwise they will not do it. So Israel would always have that reality to worry about. The entire region is hostile towards them and although Israel has done a supurb job of bribing, blackmailing and coercing those they need on their side, like those buffoon Arab leaders like King of Jordan and that clan, the president of Eygpt and so forth. nevertheless the public is hostile to Israel. personally I would never feel secure on that basis. I don't feel secure in the imperialist USA, I would feel more secure if we followed the course of isolationalism rather than imperialism and just do fair business with everyone. Bullies can't last forever, the victims eventually have to ban together in resistance which could turn ugly for everyone. This is why imperialism in this day and age is unwise.
Most do not agree that it is logical for a people from another country who speak a different language (remember most of the immigrants spoke Yiddish not a Semitic language as the rest of the population in the entire region) and laying claim to a state from thousands of years in the past. They also came with a different culture unlike the Palestinian Jews and all who were already there. From the peoples perspective who lived there it was a foreign hoard come upon them and also laid claim to all the resources of Palestine. What should belong to Palestinians, who have been reduced to beggers in Gaza and elsewhere belongs now to the Jewish state for the Jewish people. So when you wonder what the Palestinians want, wonder what you would want if someone invaded your home, sat in your chair, put their feet up on your coffee table and watched your TV while their kids played in your kids bedroom with their toys and their wife fixed them dinner from your food and put it on your table for only themselves to eat. That said, and mind you the Arabs do not complain about Arab or Spanish Jews in Palestine, it seems to me peace means making Palestine a place for everyone. Like people living in Colorado or Alabama or wherever. They have to be people of one state.
Actually, most Israelis don't speak Yiddish (which is a mix of Hebrew and European languages). You are aware that most Israelis are from Arab speaking countries? I've never seen any Palestinian differentiate between Mizrachi/Sephardic Jews and Ashkenazi Jews.

Which "country" did the Jewish people come from?

What part of Jewish culture did Palestinians find so repulsing?

It would be illegal for Israel to annex the West Bank and give citizenship to Palestinians for the same reason the settlements are illegal - because the International Community deems it so.
there are documents to every person in Israel Connie .

there are document for every palestinian too
actually the amount of documentation available for nearly everything I find astounding. I also have relatives of the Nakba (that was before you were born) who tell first hand accounts about Palestine life before Zionism (and their friends and their friends) so first hand accounts are there to come by but not from Israelis I am afraid. Not where Palestine is concerned. The roots just don't go back far enough. So to know about the history of Palestine one has to ask a Palestinian.
