For a long time now Is see the pingpong of Jeff and Susan. some time it become personal but it is clear we see two people who see different reality. They do not have the same "human right" system and they manly reapt same claims, as if any of them will change his/her prespective.

For me this is not a peace activity, while both of them will claim to be peace activist they perform the behaviour of radicals with one-truth prespective.

Truth is importent elemnt in any belief system. each work from his/her truth and claim heqshe hold the key to the one truth he or she holds.

This is war, it has no capacity to create a conversation where these two people can see themselves in one system. The truth is, they do not wish it because they protect their truth. any human relationship between these two will fail as they exlude the other person from being human.

I will be happy to discuss this here.

Jess,
As susan and Micharel you are very good to point on other's faults. you blame others. can you send me some examples of your own faults? can you see that this is not the issue who did more wrong then the other. we cannot balance wrong doing with wrong doing.

I am not policing I state my opinion. there is a group who do the moderation here and this is a wise dedicated group.

Neri

This is classic blame game tactic. You devoted a whole paragraph to blaming Israel without one iota of blame going to Hamas or the Palestinians for provoking this act.

I have written extensively here about what I would like to see for peace to evolve without a single comment from any member here and including yourself.

There seems to be collective amnesia here towards the Arab side , and I am talking about current events. These events can be verified simply by reading any newspaper. But some here suddenly wake up when Israel retaliates massively after many many instances of Arab terror.

If this is not playing the blame game card than what is?

So you blaming me now?

Neri

That is not what I said. I am just lamenting the hypocrisy of some on peace sites.

Most statements can be intepreted as a form of attack, if you put your mind to it.

Furthermore, if you put your mind to it, you can avoid genuine attacks by merely ignoring them.

Michael, within a peace agenda, condemnations are a form of propaganda, the intention being to blacken the image of the opposing side.

If you want to call for a dozen condemnations for Hamas, you are also going to have to call for a dozen condemnations of the Israeli government and the IDF.

Condemnations are a form of point scoring, associated with attempting to win. If you want to win, you are still in the war stage, and have not yet moved onto the peace agenda.

How about you make the first move by condemning some of the decisions the Israeli government makes.....if you are still convinced condemnations are useful.

Hi Neri,

One of the problems I experience with supporting Palestine is that many times I have encountered arguments between Palestinians and Israelis where the Israelis use their superior English skills to squash the Palestinians. It is not so easy to do that with me, so I feel a responsibility to speak out.

I have decided to be less aggressive, and have organized my next post (just up) to be less aggressive. See if the post I put up – to Michael – is better.

I think its not an issue of passion or aggressiveness - its when you say things like " There is nothing ethical or moral about your position. You are an opportunist, who cares for none but yourself." - That is not attacking anything I say, not a passionate argument - simply a personal attack.

Jeff,

I am interested in putting aside the personal attacks.

This will be my last comment on the matter.

Jeff,

I hope you'll do the same as Sussan, lets stop with the historic attacks.
