I'm happy to see this group - I'm new to mepeace.org, and the following is a copy of my first comment posted here:

I believe Israel has made it impossible to physically carve out a second state in this region, and no peace will come without a 'Truth & Reconciliation' dialog with a very deep listening by both sides. In a racist state there cannot be the mutual respect needed for peace.

I don't believe there is any 2 state solution for this problem - the answer is a single state with legal equality and justice for all the inhabitants. We will never treat 'the other' as our neighbor so long as we are allowed to put up walls - peace only comes through the dialog shared with our neighbors.

For us here in U.S. the Koinonia Farm was a model (a movie 'Briars in the Cotton Patch' was made about their experience) - we still have not examined our racism deeply enough to heal our wounds.
