I signed the petition, but unfortunately I view this as no different than the Pope in Lebanon praying for Middle Eastern peace.  Some actions can only be dealt with in on-going meetings, and deciding who will do a concession on what.  The Israeli-Palestinian conflict can only be dealt with in this manner.  With a strong international mediator presiding over what concessions will be made.  The last time we had a strong international mediator on this issue, was President Clinton, but he left office before he could resume it.  Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair is head of the Quartet, but really he has been almost invisible.  Despite having the Roman Pontiff praying for peace, would he like to set up a meeting between Israel and Hamas.  Now that would be really performing a miracle.

I love your solution, Marek -- it made me laugh!

Welcome, Shell and Alison, to this group.

@Shells, WiserEarth is concerned with the whole spectrum of the current Global crisis hence stewardship, the environment and social justice are at its core.
I 'met' Wael on WiserEarth where he is quite active and hope to meet him one day, perhaps in Jenin if I can get there... :)

Hi Narda... i was blessed to be able to see and share Wael's white paper for Palestine that sits on this platform through my Facebook profile and also the mepeace Facebook group. is this site mainly dealing with only green concerns would you say?

like you i'm always learning and i'm just trying to understand which network i might choose to look in, if i was looking for any one area of help or information.... only i've also noticed that whilest everyone is trying to connect we are spreading ourselves across more than one network... eg. wisearth, mepeace, facebook, ipeace...

i look forward to learning more from you. blessings shel

Thank you very much, Oliver, for the welcome.

As you can see I have extended the criteria to include local NGO's not directly involved and others non regional groups... I find somewhat a relief in doing so, thanks to a conversation I had with Neri in Tel Aviv.

I have also opened the group for discussion and so, finally, responded to your comment. :) I'm learning...

Cheers

Narda

Thanks, Narda, for creating this group. It will surely make Wiser Earth known to all those who haven't heard of it before.
