What I love the most is the Koffee Arabitun, flavored with cardamom.  When I lived in Egypt, I had it all the time.  The cardamon reminds me of when Egypt was the great depot of the spice trade during the 13th century C.E.  When documents were found in the Genizah, they mentioned about this spice trade, and these documents are an important source of both Jewish and Muslim history.

I have been to Ytmah (next to Nablus)the evening before yesterday, for the after-meal, means - the SWEETS!!!! awesome indeed!!!  I don't know  the names of all of them, but there were - Baklawa and 3 kinds of stuffed dumplings - with nuts, with sweet cheese, with salted cheese,and there were others.....
I am waiting for the specials of the Iftar on  last day of Ramadan -ma small pastry balls with a delicious honey (?) dipping.....
