Profile Information

My personal story:
I have never been to Israel, but my grandparents helped found the state when they fled Poland and settled in what is now Israel. I am estranged from the conflict, and have so much to learn, but also, as part of my family, and as an American, I have a personal responsibility and am already involved. As a young woman I have a lot of motivation to be part of a solution, and a dialogue toward peace.
Why I want peace:
I want peace because it makes sense. All people, all beings, should be free. We have so much life to share and so much to learn when we live in peace, and in war and in conflict, are blinded.
Interests and activities:
I am interested in music, and performance art, traveling, climbing mountains, swimming, riding trains, reading and discussing philosophy, cooking delicious nutritious food, dancing, taking pictures, knitting hats, and learning more about this wonderous world.
Something you didn't know about me:
I am graduating college soon!
Favorite website:
http://couchsurfing.org
How I found mepeace.org:
Searching for peace groups/efforts in Israel
What I want to achieve here:
I am interested in working for peace in Israel/Palestine and would like to network with others who feel the same. In particular I'd like to find a theater group, or music group to work with this winter while in Israel. I'm interested in theater of the oppressed and in general, the space that is created by performance art. Any ideas? Are you part of or know any such groups?
Do you promise to respect others and our guidelines and not spam?
Yes
