INNOCENTS ABROAD: A Journey for Peace from San Diego to Gaza at First Unitarian Universalist Church of San Diego

Hany El-Saidany, Faith Attaguile and Larry Hampshire, residents of San Diego, will share their photos and tell the story of the 200-vehicle, 500-person peace convoy they recently joined in order to deliver to the Palestinian people of Gaza, ambulances, trucks and vans filled with medical aid and humanitarian supplies.Beginning in London on December 6, convoy members drove over 4,000 miles through 12 countries. Profile Information

My personal story:: I worked in the defense industry my whole working life. Now that I'm retired, I want to make sure that the weapons I worked on are never used. I believe that it is important for my country to be the leader in weapons technology, I believe they will become obsolete in solving future world problems.

Why I want peace:: I believe a peaceful world is safer, more compassionate than a world fear and domination.

Interests and activities:: I am a Unitarian Universalist in San Diego. The goal of our Social justice Ministry Team is to bring peace to our society and the world.
