My personal story:: I am Layla, Moroccan. I got interested in Human rights issues since ever when I was in high school I was reading about that and got totally convinced that it's no matter from where you are or what is your skin color, your ethnic group or your belief you are a human being that share the sameness with the other human being though of course we're all different. My interest toward human right issues and peace coming from my daily confrontation with my environment, you can say I'm a fighter. My parents are Muslims, so I born as a Muslim but when I grew up and I became open to more possibilities I no longer believe in my parents' religion though I respect them, I believe in choices, that as a free human being I have always a choice. My personal choices concerning my beliefs and my sexual orientation, etc. has made of me a non accepted person among family and society the thing that urged me to pretend and show them only what they want to see and make them listen to what they want to listen. Apparently, they're a lot young persons in living like me in conservative societies who still not really believing in human rights, peace & coexistence, they simply don't accept the difference. All this made me a fighter, made me stronger and want to defend the right of anyone in the world to live in peace, free, equal, safe & secured. I see a lot of deterioration of life quality in my area in Morocco, I see a lot of sexual harassment, I see a lot of ignorance and discrimination. Since ever then and I am dreaming to join an International Peace organization, to be able to help people of my area and travel the world and try to help people who are like me passed through similar experience or even worse experience and still suffering now like me and struggling to achieve PEACE in the world. I am sure that many like me don't want wars, don't want deterioration of life quality, Do need health and social insurance for everybody, do need good Education for everybody, Do need social justice for everybody, Do need their rights as Humans first and as citizens second, it doesn't really matter if you are having a different choice, if you are a Muslim, Jewish, Christian, Non-religion, atheist, homosexual, straight, black, white, etc. so My dream is to help promoting peace all over the world and visit places and meet people who believe in peace like me and try to help them having a better life.

Why I want peace:: I want peace because simply I am against war and because by peace we can live together and build a perfect world and because each & everyone of us deserves a dignified life with no discrimination no matter what's their skin color, gender, age, race, sexual identity, belief, etc is all as humans, we need to stop the much hatred, aggression and violence in the world, we need to spread love and peace. We need goodness more than any time before. I want peace so we can live together all with our full undivided rights.

Interests and activities:: social activism, Human rights and cultural activities, reading & writing notes & sketches, dancing, listening to music, traveling, meeting new open friends.

How I found mepeace.org:: I met a member of mepeace organization in a conference and he gave me his visit-card.

What I want to achieve here:: I want more acceptance of the other as the other, I want less discrimination and hatred in the world. I want this network to reach more people in the world. I want more respect to minorities in the world especially in the Arab-Islamic world. I want to stop the killing of other persons just because they think , believe and act differently.
