My personal story:
is per serving peace .. it was all about what happen in Palestine
when Israeli soldiers started going in places of Palestinian land
destroying houses. and ruining farm land just to put a outside wall for protection to protect Israeli citizens rocket attacks going into Israel.

I was hoping at one time that peace there in the middle east would be able to have real peace. but still peace was not met even in camp David Accords with 4 presidents trying to make peace between the two leaders.

it is when may be I could try to see and understand where I could stand speaking to what I think about peace in the middle east and to hope that other people would listen to
me if I could make a difference .

I feel peace can co exist with the both leaders in the middle east with Israel and Palestinian people, but it is what we need to do to make is real peace work with people not leaders that will say for peace but not make peace. to much blood has already been split to many times. that it is time others make a stand and love those that can love others of
there differences and all breathe the same air that all of us breathe.
Why I want peace:
cause we if we can get a long and teach our children peace. then there children can teach there children peace. not to feel
hatred unto other people.
Interests and activities:
I love to draw, Paint, go on face book.com walk, go with my wife food shopping. go to her moms and dads. being online talking for peace. love herbs.
Something you didn't know about me:
that I love all people from all walks of life
How I found mepeace.org:
from a Palestinan gal who is on ipeace ning.com
What I want to achieve here:
is meeting people for peace. to liberate the world from war.

Dear Edward,
we have to continue to show that there is existing an other way than making war. We have to do that in places, where Palestinians and Israeli are living together. That is happening in Jerusalem, so making peace has to start there.

May Peace Prevail on Earth;

Hi you know sry im so long answer your message in my blog about when will it stop killing children, i agree with you Israel has a short memory , many people gave up their lives to the germans to protect Jews during the war , pure hatred from Hitler killed thousands of their people , they have memorials all ove r the world to the dead , i wonder do they really think that those people would be happy to see the new Israel today , i think not i wonder what Anne Franks would feel if she were alive today , would she be proud of the new Israel , Israel is repeating history , i cant answer the hatred is so intense , this will never end cause this war is not about land or survival or anything else its about a hatred of each other , so now Israel is trying to delete the Palastine people .

Sadly it will ulimately bring about its own destruction , for it is predicated the Jews will never have a place to rest , they do not realize in their hatred and blindness that what goes round comes round , this is not fiction its based on thousands years of History , well thanks you for your comment , love light happiness blessings for the new year love Tony New Zealand

Footnote , Israel i take no sides , for me my concern is children and innocent loss of life , however the world looks on , in the finality of things there is only one truth FACTS these speak for themselves everthing else is assumption

Request for a 'letter of recommendation' to the Jerusalem Hug Foundation

Dear Peace_Maker,

Last June 24th approximately 2000 people embraced the Old City of Jerusalem. They walked around the city walls, holding hands and expressing the unity of the Old City. Inhabitants of Jerusalem, Israeli and Palestinians, as well as peace activists from the entire world are standing side by side in their wish for peace and in their love for Jerusalem.

Since 2007 the Jerusalem Hug has been organized, as a collaboration between the ‘Lovers of Jerusalem’, the ‘Jerusalem Peacemakers’ and a Dutch group of light workers coming from Amsterdam.
The ‘Lovers of Jerusalem’ are a group of people from several peace movement organizations in Israel, under direction by Dvora Pearlman, established to create peace in Jerusalem.
The ‘Jerusalem Peacemakers’ consists of a group of passionate and involved Jewish and Palestinian inhabitants of Jerusalem under direction of Eliyahu McLean and Ibrahim Abu el Hawa who form an international network on inter religious bases with the aim to create peace and unity in Jerusalem. “When real peace in the holy land will be realized, then it will be possible to engineer peace in the whole world.”
In Amsterdam, the Netherlands, Rob Schrama, artist and peace activist, supports the ‘Jerusalem Hug’ together with a small team of involved and passionate fellow workers.

Together we established the ‘Jerusalem Hug Foundation’ that will be involved to get international support.

On May 21 2007 and on June 24 2008 the Big Hug of Jerusalem took place for the first and second time. Both Jerusalem Hugs were visited by more than 2000 participants, inhabitants of Jerusalem, Palestinians and Israeli, as well as peace activists from Israel and from all over the world.

On June 21 2009 a new Jerusalem Hug will be realized. The aim of the Jerusalem Hug is to promote a peaceful experience of freedom and joy to all people. The Jerusalem Hug will focus on love, respect and unity. With this attitude the participants will spread out around the walls of the Old City holding hands, singing and praying for peace and respect for all humankind.

Drumming together is an returning activity in every Jerusalem Hug, connecting the different population groups. During the first Jerusalem Hug in 2007 Palestinian and Israeli drummers from Jerusalem played together. As a result of this experience they decided to continue playing together. Several times they played together at the Damascus Gate to stimulate the rhythm of peace in the hearts of the people.

During the coming Jerusalem Hug, the Palestine and Israeli drummers will get support from internationally famous drummers. GrandMotherDrum, coming from Alaska and Cesar Zuiderwijk, drummer in the rock band ‘Golden Earring’ will invite all drummers in Jerusalem to create together a concert in the park along the north site of the wall.

The Jerusalem school kids, at least one class of Palestinians and one class of Israeli children are coming together during the Jerusalem Hug to fly their Kites for Peace above the thousands of participants. They will express that the children of Jerusalem want to live in a city were peace, freedom and tolerance are the foundation of our coexisting.

The ‘Jerusalem Hug’ stands symbol for another way to achieve peace. Everywhere the belief in a political solution of the Middle East conflict has been gone down to point zero. There ought to be found another way and that is the way of the heart. We believe that when we find peace in ourselves and when we are able to forgive, world peace will come closer.
The Jerusalem Hug gives expression to this wish for change as a concrete statement. Jerusalem stands as a symbol for peace and forgiveness in the world. Let Jerusalem be a city of connection, the heart of the world where unity and peace will be a fact. Every year, we will increase the Jerusalem Hug to a lager event, with every year more and more participants. Let the ‘Jerusalem Hug’ fill Jerusalem completely with love, so there will not be place for hatred anymore.

We request you to send a letter of recommendation to the Jerusalem Hug Foundation, a supporting letter that we can send to the funds we are approaching for financing our event. The best way to send this letter before December 24 to the “Jerusalem Hug Foundation” Krom Boomsloot 16, 1011 GW Amsterdam, The Netherlands or email it to: mail@jerusalemhug.org

We thank you for your cooperation and we hope to hold hands with you during the coming Jerusalem Hug.

Sincerely;

Rob Schrama

Hi Peaceaker!
It is so great to meet you on here! :)
It is so great to meet people that share similar passions about the world and life!
It made me happy to see that when you put under the section "Something that you did not know about me" you put "I love all people." This is what I have felt and still strive to be. In the end, love will over come everything, and it will win! :)
What tribe are you from?
I am hoping to get back in touch with my tribe, it's just the blood quantum laws that the US has imposed on us:S
But the day that I do get back in touch with my tribe will be a very meaningful and special day! :)

The middle east agreement. I am inclined to disagree with your topic. Your ideal in theory has too many holes and in the desert that can prove deadly. It would be nice to sit the two kids on seperate chairs and take their candy away and allow them to come out side and play when they learn to behave. It is not going to happen. It is called "The Goal," What is the goal who is behind the goal and how do you maintain the goal. The answer is in the historical approach as to why a defined group has been left disfunctional for years. Hate groups do not dispurse overnight and we train our youth to ideology of acult theories how do you reprogam and how do you find the path so young adults feel there is nothing past wall they have reached. What is the GNP or the GDP of these two areas? huge issue and you can not put a mask on gang warfare or mafias. You can trash them down, you can kill them off but in a mere 2 years they will have reformed and regrouped stronger and more sound with more hiprocacy the world of accultism. You got a better idea? I am willing to listen. Have you ever tried to contact the Israeli embassay with someone willing to call you back and talk about the weather. I think not!
