Profile Information

My personal story:
I am Rashad Javed, Former Chairman of Hope Development Organization. Blessings in the Name of Jesus our Lord and Savior. I would like to tell you a few things about myself. I was born on September 14, 1972 in Pakistan. I suffered personal tragedies at an early age. But because the Hand of God was upon me, a priest took me under his wing and gave me love and hope for life. I was educated, and when I grew to an adult, I took a job on a commercial ship. I traveled all around the world to many places and saw many kinds of people. I saw the hardships that people suffered, and my heart went out to them.
After I accepted Jesus as my Savior I knew that I had to help all the needy people that I could, those in need of love, food, shelter, and necessities of life.....but mostly love and hope. Jesus called me to this ministry. He helped others, and He taught us to do so also. Since then, I and seven friends started HDO, a Non Governmental Organization, (NGO) running by Christian administration. We started small, and are growing daily. I give all the glory to God for the blessings of this NGO. He has helped HDO thru donations, which people have given to help, feed the hungry, give basic medical treatment to the injured, but mostly to spread love through giving and caring. We have been successful in helping with national disasters and calamities in our immediate area and also in some distant places.
Pakistan is my home and I want to help my fellow countrymen, just as I want to help all people of the world. Since I grew up in this country I am familiar with the problems my people face every day. I want them to know that there is hope and somebody who cares. I preach and teach my belief in caring, according to God’s Word, the Holy Bible. I want HDO to grow and help all people of all races, cultures, and backgrounds. There can be no greater gift, in my opinion, than helping to stop the tears of need and despair! To give someone the help they need when they think that all hope is lost—this has been one of the most rewarding and biggest blessings in my life.
Jesus said in Matthew 25:35-40 (NIV),
"I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me."
"Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
"The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’"
This is, to me, the most basic and important thing in life, except for knowing Jesus as my personal Savior. This is the example of Love that Jesus wanted us to show each other—friends and enemies alike. One of the Ten Commandments says, "Love thy neighbor as thyself." If we all treat our closest neighbor as our brother and care for them as we would our own brother, then each home on each street would be a neighbor to another, then each street a neighbor to another, each city a neighbor to another, each country a neighbor to another. Then will this world we live in be much more like Heaven to everyone. Just as Jesus loved each of us, we need to love, help, and teach each other. This is my mission—for me, my family, and HDO!
I hope this has been an inspiration to you. Jesus made all the difference in my life. I want to help all people—Christians, Muslims, and any other religions. I want them to see the Love of The Lord Jesus Christ in my life, as I give it freely to everyone. This is what HDO stands for and believes in. All praise and glory to our Father in Heaven.

U.N. estimates that 13.8 million people have been affected by floods in Pakistan.

ISLAMABAD – The number of people suffering from the massive floods in Pakistan

exceeds 13 million — more than the combined total of the 2004 Indian

Ocean tsunami, the 2005 Kashmir earthquake and the 2010 Haiti

earthquake, the United Nations said

Monday.

The death toll in each of those three disasters was much higher than the

1,500 people killed so far in the floods that first hit Pakistan two

weeks ago. But the U.N. estimates that 13.8 million people… Continue

A True Story By Faisal Al-Hatib
I am a Palestinian Arab from Hizmeh, a village between Jerusalem and Ramallah. When I was 15 years old I fought against the Israeli Occupation in search of freedom. At that time I thought every Jewish person, whether soldier or citizen, man or woman, young or old, should be killed. I rejected the right for any Jew to live and every Jew was a target. I was just a kid, believe me, and I didn’t understand anything about politics or the Arab-Israeli conflict. I was arrested and sat in jail for 12 years. This was during the first intifada from 1987. At that time nobody talked about peace but only of violence. I matured during my time in jail. I started studying and reading books on politics, literature, poetry, and about the Madrid Conference.

It gave me hope to live in peace and dignity. I learned that violence only breeds violence and that peace is the only solution for the two nations, the only way for both to have a respectful and beautiful future. We live on the same land. We are neighbors. We drink the same water and both pray to a monotheistic God. We must live in peace on the basis of religion for God and land for everyone.
