Profile Information

My personal story:: I was born in Israel and grew up in England from the age of 8. I come from a multicultural heritage. I began working in media in 1997 as an Art-Director at ‘Ogilvy & Mather’, Hong Kong, a large advertising agency. But soon realised this was not my purpose on this planet and after 2 and a half years I returned to London in 2000 where my career in filmmaking took off.

Since then, I have worked as a freelance Producer/Director/Camera-Operator on a range of international productions.

My multicultural background infused me with a commitment to film projects specializing in giving voice to minority groups, exploring cultural identities, awareness building and shifting paradigms. I have produced many films with and featuring at risk youth, teenage mothers and conflicted communities.

I have recently moved back to Israel to set my roots and build a warm home. i am currently completing 'The Unbearable Lightness of Killing' a documentary about two dedicated fighters who went from firmly believing the justification of their violent acts, to becoming combatants for peace and fighting for justice. The film explores the influences that may have dictated those choices and uses psychological theories to try to decipher what sets these two men apart and enabled them to step beyond the collective trauma of their respective societies. Beyond the victim mentality that is paralyzing them and keeping the cycle of violence alive.

Why I want peace:: Because it is every human beings right to live in safety and in harmony and war is a waist of lives, energy and resources that could be invested in creating, building and growing... rather than destruction.

Interests and activities:: ALL OF LIFE'S EXPRESSIONS!
People, Dance, music, cultural diversity, religion/spirituality, conflict resolution, photography, psychology, philosophy, yoga... the list goes on and on...
lets just say I have never understood the term boredom!
