You are crying

My laughing hurt

Your hurting laugh

How many hours do we…

Our discussions were fruitful and we used our breaks and lunch to socialize and continue the creative process. We completed with a unified circle.… Continue

Palestine: How Will She Come Into Being?

The recent agreement in April between Fatah and Hamas has paved the way for Palestinians to act unilaterally, this coming September, to ask the U.N. to declare a Palestinian State on the basis of the 1967 borders. By some estimates, Palestinians will receive 140 votes in favor, when only 128 votes will be needed. The only real question that remains is: Will a Palestinian State come into being unilaterally, or as a result of a last minute negotiated settlement between Israel and… Continue

WIN: CHOOSE PEACE

A prayer for songs of peace

Songs that quiet rage

Inspire to engage

Move to love from hate

Wipe away hurt from history's slate.

Yesterday's deeds lay out the board

Chances past

Evil cast

How long will their influence last?

Give, take share

Love hate care

Today we choose:

Win: win; Lose:lose.

We choose our moves today

Who's the enemy

With whom to play

Fight or flight?

Me or… Continue

attachment to religious identity

I am very attached to my Jewish identity. It is very important to me. As I have this attachment, i am letting go of nationalism, or, more simply put for me, an attachment to a nation. The latter is easier than the former. I have heard it said that giving up national identity goes hand in hand with giving up religious identity; that you cannot do away with one and not the other.

I muse over the lyrics of a song most of us have heard before:

Imagine there's no…
