Celebrating mepeace.org's birthday and our commitment to peace in 2009

Dear Peacemakers,

On this day exactly two years ago, i registered mepeace.org. Happy Birthday and thank you for helping us grow as an organization, community and platform for peacemakers.

We advanced Middle East peace this year, online and on the ground: Online, we attracted visitors from 176 countries and 6, 877 cities, from New York to Sidney and Tel Aviv to Gaza City, Amman, Beirut, Cairo, Damascus, etc... This year we received more than 100,000 visits for 804,753 page visits on mepeace.org.

On the ground, our peacemakers met in person as we hosted our first Peace Cafe on June 1 (see video: www.mepeace.org/video/661876:Video:68842). In July, we met in Amman, Jordan, for our first international conference: "mepeace.org: Making Things Possible". In August, we hosted our second Peace Cafe, the first event organized by our peacemakers. This was followed in September with the Iftar-Shabbat dinner (our first event featured in the Palestinian media). Read our news at: www.mepeace.org/notes/News.

Now we are showing our commitment to dialogue, peace and co-existence with our Peace Cafe on Friday January 2nd. We are starting 2009 together and need your help. With three clicks you can help us by inviting your contacts (first click: http://www.mepeace.org/main/invitation/new). You can join our new volunteer team (at: www.mepeace.org/group/volunteer). And you can write a check today, tax-free for 2008 and support for 2009 (see: www.mepeace.org/notes/Support).

Thank you for being with us. Let's realize peace together in 2009.
