Scholarships Available for qualified Middle Eastern Students to a semester in Environmental Studies with the Arava Institute. Come explore the issues of environmental challenges with a diverse group of international students in a program that takes a regional, interdisciplinary perspective. The program is conducted in English. The program provides a balanced scientific, political and social understanding of complex environmental issues and the need for cooperation to find solutions. Learn what you can do to make a difference.

A semester of study is 4 months long – September to January and February to June each year. Students participate in one or two semesters. To apply one must complete application forms, reference letters, an initial interview, and a final interview. Courses include ecology, alternative energy, climate change, water management, environmental economics, environmental law, environmental mediation, environmental policy and environmental politics, sustainable development, organic ariculture, and more. A peacebuilding and Environmental Leadership Seminar complements the academic program throughout the semester.
