Present Scenario & World Crisis :
Where we are….

At present we are living in fast changing, modernizing and globalizing society with mix population – different religions, race, culture, faith, etc Presently we are living in the  Age of darkness (Age of Kali- Yuga (Iron Age): means age of  Fear & Insecurity & also age of conflicts, violence, wars & terrorism due to erosion of human values..

Humanity is faced with common enormous social & environmental challenges (relational problem, moral, victimizes all, threatens dignity, life and existence, caused by culture).

The majority of people in the world lived through the culture of conflicts & violence during the twentieth century. It is unfortunate that the twenty first century too has started in an environment of hostilities and holocaust. In the post 9/11 world, we find ourselves in what some have called a crisis, we are living in world of crisis i.e. Crisis of Peace & Humanity, crisis of poverty, educational crisis, economical crisis, crisis of environmental degradation, cultural crisis and crisis of human values. In total sum –we are facing Crisis of Peace and peaceful co-existence.

Why Global Ethical Framework?

We have entered into new century and new millennium, but humanity is standing at the crossroad of all the transition process, we are facing two unresolved challenges:

  • 1) Fate of the Earth: Ecological Challenge (Environmental degradation) &
  • 2) Fate of the Humanity: People's Challenge – Population, Poverty & Peace i.e  Challenge of Poverty & Inequality ;   Challenge of  Violence, Terror & Nuclear War.

To meet the challenges & to save the humanity from further destruction we have to change our values, consciousness from unethical consciousness to ethical consciousness and our attitude from Culture of Violence to Culture of Peace for developing sustainable peace & harmony   in the society. Now is the time to "Thinking together is a new vision  of " Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam : One Family under God"  and  working together  for converting vision into actions for developing Non-violent Global Sustainable Society.”

Why One Family under God is relevant to India society?

We all are the children of God; we all are equal in His eyes. We are the infinite, perfect, immortal children. We have oceanic power and wisdom .India has been a messenger of peace even in past as it was India that mooted the very idea of “Vasudheva Kutumbkam” that is, ‘the whole world is but one family’

  • Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam is a philosophy that inculcates an understanding that the whole world is one family. It is a philosophy that tries to foster an understanding that the whole of humanity is one family. It is a Social philosophy emanating from a spiritual understanding that the whole of humanity is made of one life energy from one higher source-Creator, God, or Allah.

Understanding Vasudheva Kutumbkam  : World is one family ? .

  1. According to Ancient Indic Philosophy Vasudheva Kutumbkam (Sanskrit: वसुधैवकुटुम्बकम्) means World is one family."Vasudhā", the earth + "ēva"(means)  is + "Kutumbkam"(means family;) = Vasudheva Kutumbkam(Sanskrit: वसुधैवकुटुम्बकम्is a Sanskrit phrase that  means that the whole world is one single family, which promotes global citizenship and culture of peace
  2. Every religion of the world desires for Peace, Unity & Happiness. Basically, all religions believe in peace, equality and helping the less fortunate. The sense of differences & separateness is the fundamental problem in the minds of the people. However we have to live with differences and we have to understand the differences by elevating the level of consciousness & we have to follow the idea of ‘Vasudheiva Kutumbkam’  - One Family Under God

Vasudheiva Kutumbkam’  - One Family Under God :  A New era of Peace & Prosperity
