Understanding People's Movement

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN
Marxism teaches us to examine every phenomenon in two angles; because it (Marxism) unearthed that everything in this universe exists in contradiction. In case of society Marxian view is that it (society) exists in class contradictions. Such class contradictions are defined either as rulers and ruled, capitalist versus proletariat, owners of means of productive forces versus labourers, rich versus, poor, etc. One could acquire Marxian outlook not merely by reading Marxian Books but through waging lifelong struggle to remain in either side of the contradiction consciously or unconsciously.
It has been scientifically proved that there is no differentiation in the physical content of our brain while we appear in this earth from mother’s womb, except some arrive with sound physique and some with immaturity. As we grow we get actuated with the notions, norms, idea and ideology of two antagonistic classes who are engaged days and nights in production, distribution and consumption either as managers of a definite production function or as mental or physical labourers. We develop our class perspective, communication skills, etc in the process of our upbringing under such struggling social environment.
If we talk of any movement or “andolan”, then the terms should also be viewed in two angles. Andolan is a must for this capitalist state machine (that assigns more value to the capital and market than labour and people’s basic needs) not only to justify its anti-people actions but also to clear off the opponent views either through a process of dehumanization (virtual killings of man) or by waging a fascist movement to identify the progressive sections of people to butcher them out. The crisis ridden world capitalist class is mastering here in India to create a ground for such a movement. Yet, another side of the andolan is to liberate the laboring class from the bondage of the capitalist state machine. If the leadership of the movement is not clear with such notion about the andolan, then we would unconsciously help strengthening the country-wide fascist movement planned to be launched by the capitalist- multi-nationalist class.
Initiating a later type of movement here in India is indeed a herculean task because; the process of transformation of state machine never witnessed a revolutionary turn in any phase of history. Therefore, one might find peculiarities in the character of laboring population; some are most modern type i.e. highly salaried class, some are mediocre type and yet some others (mostly in unorganized sectors) are bonded labourers, hunter-gathers, jhum cultivators, migrant labourers, etc. Different psychology, behaviour, attitude, taste and temperament of the various categories of workers are being x-rayed in the laboratory of the capitalist-multinationals to side them out from real andolan that aims at overthrowing capitalist state machine. The Liberalization, Privatization and Globalization has given the opportunity to the capitalist-multi-nationalist class of India not only to hobnob with moribund capitalists of the world to get a lease of life but also to get their expertise to crash people’s movement against capitalism-neo-imperialism.

I appeal the leadership of the Jan Andolanon Ka Rastiya Andolan led by Ms. Medha Patekar (whom I heard in the meeting organised by A. N. Sinha Institute of Social Studies, Patna on 27.01.2012) to ponder over the issues I raised above, without which entire exercise would go to astrey again and again and the andolan would not be able to reach to its real culmination point i.e. setting up a state machine which would work only for the service of those man who sacrifice everything they have or contribute their might to serve the mankind.
