Waleed, thank you for your invitation to meet you.

I live in Chicago.  Once, I was an English major in college, but since then I have been a professional singer and band-leader of a klezmer band (since 1983).  I am 52 years old.  My husband and I are involved with J-Street and other ways of trying to change the fate of Israel and Palestine.  I recently stated an ensemble called the Salaam-Shalom Music Project including Muslim, Jewish and Christian musicians.  Please be in touch, and good luck from your friends in Chicago!

I noticed you lead the English-Arabic translation team.  I could use some help with my Jewish Letter to the People of Egypt--I did get a translation earlier but it is unverified and not up to date.  I am also writing for Al Jazeera's English site right now regarding the letter but if I could have a translation for their Arabic sites it would be amazing!  The letter is at gopetition.com/petitions/jewishegyptletter.html or you can see the Facebook page at facebook.com/jewishegyptletter.

please tell me how is commute, to and fro, to Ramallah.  Who are the various communities we can invite there on January 1?  We are planning to have the Gathering from 7-10 pm, probably in Tel Aviv or Jerusalem.  Would that time work in Ramallah?  The Gathering begins with or has the Peace Ceremonies/Offerings as its part.  Tell me what you hear and see in that.  We can create the Thousand Mothers Awakening Gathering in Ramallah and Tel Aviv or Jerusalem simultaneously.  Please tell what you see possible.  Thanks

Thank you for welcoming me into this amazing community.  I am very happy to have found mepeace.  I am coming to Israel the last week of December and I ask for yours and everyone else's partnership, support, in creating Thousand Mothers Peace Gathering between all communities there.  This event is taking place on January 1, 2011 from 7-10 PM.  We need a place in Jaffa, or Tel Aviv for the Gathering to take place. Anyone who can recommend, confirm, a safe, positive, place, location, for the Gathering, will make a huge difference.
