People have forgotten that. Now, people think of them having nothing to do with Arabic, but they did. One of my good friends, his father is a Syrian Jew, we had a long conversation in Arabic . He spoke with a Syrian accent. He lived most of his youth in Israel, but he could still speak it well. It depends on how wants to see it. For me, Syrian Jews are Arabs, especially those still in Syria.
