from SOLIDARITY
last Friday, but it's perceived by a lot of people as a watershed in the
crumbling of Israeli democracy. A group of activists and Palestinians
were brutally attacked by a raging mob of settlers, while we were engaged in very
non-violent activities (like drinking tea). A lot of people were hospitalized, female demonstrators were sexually abused, and some were detained or arrested. The police did nothing to help, and the media has been either silent or biased towards the settlers.
We'd like to ask our friends and supporters abroad to help out in these dire
times by letting your friends, families, communities and political representatives know what's happening here.
I'm sending a text (http://www.en.justjlm.org/617) that explains what happened and how we understand it. It's the main thing we want to get out,
as well as the shocking video that shows a little of what went on (with
English subtitles):
