Jews and Arabs, Palestinians and Israelis together on Friday marched eastern part of Jerusalem, demanding the recognition of the independence of Palestine under the banner of "at first independence, then negotiate.
This event is a rare cooperation between the left movement of solidarity Sheikh Jarrah and the International Committee of East Jerusalem.
Organisers claim that this is the first Jewish-Arab event of its kind in 20 years.
The event was coordinated with the police, and organizers pledged to prevent any violence from the breaking, despite the expected action of the right.
The march took place in a symbolic way, following the Green Line, which was used for the separation of East and West Jerusalem until 1967.
