Held in conjunction with the establishment of a global, multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary network of professional working groups engaged in the joint study of inherited, unresolved communal trauma, & the implications for violence & war within & between communities

Defining & addressing the dynamics of inherited, unresolved communal trauma from one generation to the next, including historical understandings, the development & perpetuation of communal victim identities, exclusive cultural membership & rites of belonging, & implications for present & future relations between communities - particularly war & violence.
A Search for New Models & Methodologies -
Developing new models & methods at the societal level for healing & preventing communal trauma & it's transfer into future generations.
Transgenerational trauma is seen as an underlying, potent fuel for the eruption of violence. Understanding it's dynamics & implications, & developing ways to treat it, are seen as essential to healing & reconciliation within & between communities, establishing compassionate local & global relations, & achieving sustainable peace.
