Event Description

As people of faith, it's time to start treating the Earth as sacred. Ibrahim Abdul-Matin, environmental policy advisor and environmental justice activist is helping to build the interfaith environmentalist movement by releasing his new book, "Green Deen: What Islam Teaches About Protecting the Planet."

In honor of the book's launch, join us on Saturday, November 13th from 10:00AM - sunset in Bedstuy's Shiloh Gardens. As winter approaches this garden, planted and maintained by the surrounding community, needs to be prepared to survive the cold weather and snow. Help us build a shed, insulate, and clean up the garden as well as the block out front!

Welcome to Enjoy it, share yourself, volunteer to help and support us. Make new friends, participate in forum discussions or start your own, respect the guidelines and if you have a question see our FAQ. Please share your feedback and invite your friends to join us.
