What is one of your favorite quotes about human love, sisterhood/brotherhood, universality of mankind, peace.   This may be added at some point to the facebook page.   We could the favorite songs part as well to it.  It's good to be reminded of why we are here, and it's not because the world is full of angels. The world Ghandi was in was not full of angels.  There is a cafe called Angel in Us.

We need to find the Angel in US, and find hope inside ourselves.

Mahatma Gandhi

When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love has always won. There have been tyrants and murderers and for a time they seem invincible but in the end, they always fall -- think of it, ALWAYS!

WOW,
Basil, see this page discussions will be my most favorite page. I really liked this idea of opening the discussion on Favorite quotes about human love and peace.
I often turn to quotes or aphorisms because one thing is indisputable, we turn to the quotations, even unfair, to get the source for the development and push our thinking, so that our head does not fall asleep for a long time or not to slow development of our ideas (if they require a push through the reading of certain sources).

It is unwise to be too sure of one's own wisdom. It is healthy to be reminded that the strongest might weaken and the wisest might err. http://www.forusa.org/quotes/gandhi.html

We must be the change we wish to see in the world. -Mahatma Gandhi

Yesterday tired I put two similar videos. I'm sorry, here, the video with the Famous Quotes From Mahatma Gandhi

Thank you Basil for this quote -"Dwell as near as possible to the channel in which your life flows." This Peace Quote is combined with this amazing music by Yiruma "River Flows In You ". Hear it. This is an amazing soul caressing a beautiful peaceful music.
'If you are sitting on the fence, you are on the wrong side of the fence!'
'The essence of culture is what comes from the heart and the essence of democracy is to listen; this is an act of respect. To transform our lives to achieve this at its full potential is an aspect of our human revolution, an inner personal battle between our lesser self and vindicating our existence in being truly human. Since all life is inextricably linked, our transformation is of value and benefit to all humanity.'

There are hundreds of tasks we feel we must accomplish in the
day, but if we do not take them one at a time and let them pass
through the day slowly and evenly,

as do the grains of sand passing through the narrow neck of
the hourglass, then we are bound to break our own physical
and mental structure.
- Ted Bergernine

Ballads can be made of our life here...

Thank you Basil!
I like this song about warmth of love.

"To love someone deeply gives you strength. Being loved by someone deeply gives you courage." - Lao Tzu

Love has all the colors of the rainbow.
This is a harmony.
This is where every new day is like the first meeting and you start to know each other,
This is when you're always wondering together.
This is when are you waiting for each other, and you heat up the idea of each other and from the presence of each other.
This is where you support each other in everything and protect each other in whole,
This kind of love overcomes everything, because together you strength and inspiration to make difference, positive changes…
This is an integral part of your life which it is not divorced from the heart.
When you love everyday problems become joyful gritty for overcoming and for rising up and the beginning of something more sublime, and most importantly real love is a bright future, which promise and will promise our children.
With such love everything is possible and feasible.

Thanks Basil,
I liked the version of the performance of this song by Leo Sayer, although the performance of Julio Iglesias makes me shudder and want to fly and to feel that such love exists and want to see it was always in the air and took possession of us, and we are worthy of this benefit led.

Our task is to establish a firm inner world, a robust sense of self that will not be swayed or shaken by the most trying circumstances or pressing adversity. Only when efforts to reform society have as their point of departure the reformation of the inner life - human revolution - will they lead us with certainty to a world of lasting peace and true human security. - Daisku Ikeda http://wpb.stanford.edu/oldsites/gki/gkiikeda.html

What our world most requires now is the kind of education that foster love for humankind, that develop characters - that provides an intellectual basis for the realization of peace and empowers learners to contribute to and improve society - Daisku Ikeda http://wpb.stanford.edu/oldsites/gki/gkiikeda.html

This is the abridged version (2hrs 15min) of a 5hrs 10min documentary biography of Mohandas Mahatma Gandhi. All events and principles of Gandhi's life and thought are viewed as integrated parts of his truth-intoxicated life depicting permanent and universal values.
The purpose of the film is to tell the present and the future generations "that such a man as Gandhi in flesh and blood walked upon this earth", to acquaint them with his life and work and to spread his message of peace and universal brotherhood to the war-weary and fear-stricken world. The film brings together a mass of visual record not only of 78-year life of Gandhi but also of an important period of India's history.
The aim of the film being education and not entertainment, there is no attempt at dramatization of those exciting times. The story is told with an eye to truthful documentation of the main events within the limits of available documentary visual material.

Great discussion Basil :)

"We can work on inner peace and world peace at the same time. On one hand, people have found inner peace by losing themselves in a cause larger than themselves, like the cause of world peace, because finding inner peace means coming from the self-centered life into the life centered in the good of the whole. On the other hand, one of the ways of working for world peace is to work for more inner peace, because world peace will never be stable until enough of us find inner peace to stabilize it.”
