As the Fatah Elections Committee came close on Saturday to completing a recount of last week's vote following accusations of fraud and the subsequent dismissal of several counters, it appeared that Israeli candidate Uri Davis had won a seat on the party's Revolutionary Council.

The wife of jailed Fatah-Tanzim terrorist Marwan Barghouti, Fadwa, was also reported to have won a place on the list.

Davis, a 66-year-old academic, is an outspoken critic of his country and identifies himself as a Palestinian Hebrew-speaking citizen of what he calls "the apartheid state of Israel."

Palestinian news agency Ma'an said that the official results would be submitted to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas for ratification before they are announced publicly.

the mingling of all of us started, after all we are one human tissue with different layers of language and culture but most of us can see that we are one.

Now we need to see how the Palestinian dynamic develop, we need Palestinian unity we need Hamas, Fatah and the non-Fatah non-Hamas people to work together for setting condition for progress. I hope that the new people in power in Fatah will be wise and daring to bring the change we need
"Uri Davis converted to Islam after marrying an Arab woman. I don't think he can be considered jewish now. He is the the equivelant of the former mayor of Hebron's son who converted to Judaism and lives in Kiryat Arba. Everyone makes his choices."

This was Hillel Yaari reply on a discussion by Stephanie.

I guess peacemakers enjoy hearing their own echo and ignore everyone else.
Shea,

Are you a "peacemaker" who wish to hear you eco here or you wish to join us to create change in the middle east?

your comments are not clear and you seem to bring a voice that reject the Arab culture.

Neri
"your comments are not clear and you seem to bring a voice that reject the Arab culture"
Yes, I do not speak of "human tissue" and whatever it means.I do not speak of Status Quo and dress it up as creating change. I prefer the realism of the killings that are prevalent and initiated by ..........?

Do I reject the Arab Culture? The answer is a resounding NO. Do I reject the extremist Arab Culture. The answer is a resounding YES.

I do hate when people attribute their own values to me.
"Do I reject the Arab Culture? The answer is a resounding NO. Do I reject the extremist Arab Culture. The answer is a resounding YES."

Do you also reject the extremist Jewish/Israeli culture, or, if you want, extremist/fundamentalist Christian culture?

Do you agree with the charter of 'Z Street'?

http://ziostreet.wordpress.com/z-streeters/

It's no surprise that in the Z Street charter the concept of peace is only brought in association with Israel, not, however, with the other side.
Dear Oliver,

This from you is patent nonsense: "It's no surprise that in the Z Street charter the concept of peace is only brought in association with Israel, not, however, with the other side."

Were there no other side, there would be no hostilities and there would be peace and thus no perceived need for http://ziostreet.wordpress.com/z-streeters/.
Dear Paul,

no need to mention the link to this awesome Z Street organisation again.. It's not that I want to become a member :)

What you describe as "patent nonsense" is just my mentioning of the fact that Z Street is a one-sided Zionist network. I don't know what the Z Street members feel like debating about. They seem to agree on everything anyway, especially on this:

"Were there no other side, there would be no hostilities and there would be peace"
Dear Oliver,

You introduced http://ziostreet.wordpress.com/z-streeters/ here.

It seems to me that all rational people as well as you and Neri and Z Street people and Osama Bin Laden and George Bush ! and II would also agree with "Were there no other side, there would be no hostilities and there would be peace".. So?
Yes, certainly.. Were there only one united people around the world, there would be peace and love everywhere.. But this is unfortunately not the case, and thus we must not be and act one-sided. Z Street factors out the reality (i.e. that two peoples call Israel/Palestine their home) and instead focuses on a "greater Israel" (see article III of its charter).
Z Street is marginal and probably irrelevant. Hamas and Fatah are not. Their charters and recent pronouncements are possibly more insidious and dangerous than that of Z street. Their actions and influence certainly are.

Hamas, Fatah, and Hezballah are NOT marginal and are influential.
I seem that Paul Rati agree with the charter of Z-street

from reading it, Paul support statements as:

VIII. Z STREET insists that terrorist or other threats against Israel be unequivocally condemned and that those members of the world community failing to do so be identified as supporters of a second genocide against the Jewish people.

and

XII. Z STREET has no need to, and will not negotiate with, nor seek to gain the approval from, any governments, Israeli or Diaspora organizations, or individuals supporting the diminution or weakening of Israel either because of ideological conviction, animosity towards a strong, Jewish State, cowardice, or the misguided belief that compromise with Terrorist Entities can lead to peace in the Middle East or global peace.

which say that this organization do not recognize the right and duty of Israelis to determine their future and relationship with Palestinians and with Judaism,

Uncle Neri seems to be once again to be clutching at straws and jumping to bizarre confusions. :-)

I neither wrote nor implied what Neri's vivid imagination has once again divined.

Please stop using smear tactics, Neri! As a moderator and a peacemaker, Neri should better than to do that.
