After reading The Unnecessary War by Buchanan I now think that WW2 was the fault of Churchill and Poland instead of Hitler's fault. Have you read this book? Were you convinced too? If you agree with Buchanan's conclusion do you think that we could apply this lesson to our dealings with Iran? I think we can compare Israel's role to Churchill's and Ahmadinejad's to Hitler's. (This is not a Nazi comparison)

Here is a summary of ‘The Unnecessary War’ by Buchanan:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Churchill,_Hitler_and_the_Unnecessary_War

(It is about 10 pages long.)

It is well worth reading - the summary - if you are interested in the politics of WW2, however, it appears that the war is being analysed without much consideration being given to significant financial aspects.

Certainly it is a good start to some serious analysis, which has been slow to come from America. It opens the door for understanding how to avoid wars in the future.
