Yesterday, the UN has issued a report on the Gaza war. It accuses both Israel and Hamas of war crimes.

Here's an article about the report (from the British 'Guardian'):

The report itself:

Mika,

While not my own words, nevertheless ....

The world stands gaping, mute, impotent, as Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iraq are sucked into a vortex of murderous civil violence. Meanwhile, the best the UN and NGOs can do is flagellate Israel.
And those countrys has to do with Israel....?
Some people know that the world has real issues that are far more significant than Israel. The world does not begin at or end with Israel.
Paul... I find this very strange coming from you... who is more significant in your mind than an Israeli?

What people has more significence than the people of Israel in your understanding?
Ron,

You wrote in http://www.mepeace.org/xn/detail/661876:Comment:377564 that "people who support the killing, the maiming of innocents will rage on getting their power, energy and purpose in hate".

I think that all people are significant especially all those who were, are, and will become victims of those "people who support the killing, the maiming of innocents [and who] will rage on getting their power, energy and purpose in hate".

Do you think otherwise Ron?
I am so very glad you changed your position from what it had been last December and January!

All humans are significant and it's good that now we both agree on that.

Peace to you,
Since i was 16 I've been of the view that all people are significant. So that has NOT changed.

I do quite often change my views depending on changed information or circumstances.

That is a view that is unlikely to change and is one reason why I do what I do. Because of that view I try to avoid demonizing. That, i think, is unlike some others here who unable to resist the demonization game.
That's helpful to know. Nevertheless... I'm glad you now acknowledge every life is significent.
The above ("rWhat people has more significence than the people of Israel in your understanding?") reads at first glance as a presumptuous rhetoric:: what did the man say to disfavor others?
Who are making this judgement that some cases are more or less significant than Israel ? Or more or less "real".

Human rights council has something else to do than just a case Israel. If you Paul didn't know this then only advice i can give to you as a friend of yours, go to human rights council page and read.
I have read many of their platitudinous pages. We have been here before, Mka.
Read follow list and tell us what issues from the list are those you mentioned as "platitudinous".
