Wars have been fought throughout the centuries because men have interpreted the Bible and other holy books as the word of God. But God does not speak to men in riddles and vague stories of life he speaks within us.

For centuries religions have stated their holy books and Bibles were the only true words of God. I have studied very few Bibles and holy books. But what I have studied of the Bible's past was not inspiring nor reassuring.

I studied of many monks labeled M and Q and others who interpreted the christian Bible from many older languages like Old Greek, Old Latin, Latin, Greek, Hebrew, and other languages some of which no one today understands. These monks rewrote and reinterpreted the books of the Bible many times as their messages needed changing through the centuries. And today as in the past the Catholic Church decides what books of the Bible to include or exclude from it.

The Bible is like a modern day story past around at a party that gets changed around so much that it is totally unrecognizable from the original story told. Now imagine a thousand stories told and retold over many centuries and handed down and retold in many new languages. The message of the original story gets lost very quickly in time. Even today if you will read books of English which are only 100 years old it is very hard to understand them. The stories are told in unusual ways with weird language phrases which few people understands today.

I doubt that God would speak to mankind in riddles and vague stories past down over centuries in holy books called Bibles. God does not need such a foolish means of speaking to mankind. God does not speak from centuries past in holy books and Bibles. He speaks today as always directly to the hearts of men within. All great past teachers of all religions speak of the kingdom within to contact God but few men hear them today because they see only their centuries old holy books as the word of God.

How can men be so foolish as to kill other men because they believe in their holy books as the word of God. This is the greatest blasphemy of all time the killing of men in the name of God. God does not seek an army of assassins and murders to do his bidding. He can do what he wills with the soft touch of death in an instant or an hour with no help from men.

The only word of God spoken to man is within him in daily contemplation and meditation. All else is the centuries old writings of monks and scribes who do their best to speak for God in their writings but failed. For God does not speak through the centuries of time through monks and scribes he speak to us daily if we would only hear him.

So read the holy books of old with great care. For if they counsel the killing or harming of your brothers then they do great harm and they are the words of men not God. God has no need of books and writings he is ever present and within. He has never left you.-- J.E. Ante

True, Bible has changed many times through history. In fact we don't even know what is original Bible. There are more gospels written than those what is in the Bible today. Some say 32, some at least 50, some say even more than that.
if i am god i hate and i don't like god get involved in any aspects like who is god? or any gossip or making some words that can hurt to the followers of god cause god still god whom he is the one who created us and prepare to the coming of god whose words in the bible or in any books of gods words specially in christian bibles he SAID I WILL JUDGE THE LIVING AND THE DEAD..n this words we should prepare.
so, what about those people who say things like, "god spoke to me to kill the president" ? if god can speak to us, how are we to know that other spirits can't speak to us too? how can we tell the difference between all the voices? what if "god" tells someone something and then tell someone else the COMPLETE opposite? is that proof that god is schizophrenic or bi-polar?
allowing god to only come from within and not writing down things he/she/it has obviously said or done in the past just leads to CONFUSION.
god has no need of books, but we could sure use one. that would be an act of MERCY if god supplied us with a book giving us a clear picture of what he/she/it is like and a clear directions on how to FIND god.
that's why it is important to TEST the holy books to see if one, in particular, leads to a clear and undeniable revelation of GOD.
(not just cool spiritual feelings. i think they ALL offer that.)
if one DID lead to god, that would be priceless... :)

the real issue is truth. specifically... truth about god.
CAN WE FIND IT? AND...
IS IT WORTH FIGHTING FOR WHEN WE FINALLY DO FIND IT???
or is fighting so despised that NOTHING is considered worth fighting for? including a loving (emphasis on LOVING) god?
(and i think that people in the past have ruined this idea by CLAIMING to be fighting for god, while they were simply building their religious empires... that's NOT what i'm talking about)

the other issue is pride (arrogance). i think that part of us doesn't like holy books because if we embrace them, we are saying that there were men and women in the past who saw some things about god that we have not seen yet.

that takes HUMILITY and we, the human race, do NOT do the humility thing very well.
but, man, it is BEAUTIFUL when someone has the real thing (humility).
i mean, take a picture if you meet someone who has it. you just met a rare individual. they're out there, tho!
That is a good question. Very few people really talk to God actually but rather they contact divine energies mostly in the form of past saints and angels. But each soul knows right and wrong actions. If a negative spirit or anyone preaches to harm others then simply ignore them. Each person decides daily whether to follow good or negative actions. It is our own free will not God's that is the question. God is both the positive and negative energy not just the good energy alone. But spirit or soul is not harmed in either case. Both the positive and negative are necessary to form existence of creation and gain spiritual experiences.
So to answer your question is you can not know for sure if you speak to God but you can decide what you will follow -- good actions or negative actions. It is always your own choice and your own free will. God is just our father and mother of life. We decide what we will make of our lives by free will and direct contact with guidance from divine energies both good and bad. It is your choice.
God's Cake

Sometimes we wonder, "What did I do to deserve this or that?" or "Why did God have to do this to me?" Here is a wonderful explanation! A daughter is telling her Mother how everything is going wrong, she's failing algebra, her boyfriend broke up with her and her best friend is moving away.

Meanwhile, her Mother is baking a cake and asks her daughter if she would like a snack, and the daughter says, "Absolutely Mom, I love your cake."

"Here, have some cooking oil," her Mother offers. "Yuck" says her daughter.

"How about a couple raw eggs?" "Gross, Mom!"

"Would you like some flour then? Or maybe baking soda?" "Mom, those are all yucky!"

To which the mother replies: "Yes, all those things seem bad all by themselves. But when they are put together in the right way, they make a wonderfully delicious cake!

God works the same way. Many times we wonder why He would let us go through such difficult times. But God knows that when He puts these things all in His order, they always work for good! We just have to trust Him and, eventually, they will all make something wonderful!

Whenever I want to talk to Him, He listens.
But do you know when He talks to me? When I listen.

please take your god and leave us alone.
Israel is a democracy , its the homeland of the jewish nation, god has nothing to do with it other then the fact that christians are abossesnd with anything the jews do.

Israel has freedome of religion to every one ,synogugs ,mosques and churches and even allows poligamy for the beduims .

I am an ethiest and a zionist and an Israeli and a peace activist
thank you basil
I agree god has nothing to do with peace. we should take it out of the descussion .

the last thing we need is "holly" wars
Hi Ohad, Israel seems to allow only Jewish people to emigrate to Israel and so it may be more democratic than most nations and it has become a Jewish homeland but religious freedom is only for Jews as no other religions are allowed to immigrate to Israel. The 2 million Arabs that live in Israel are not allowed to vote I understand. Is that correct?

But was this ever a good idea to begin a Jewish religious nation in the middle of Arab Moslem nations by taking the land of the Arab Palestinians to create Israel. In America that would be like starting a racist Klu Klux Klan meeting house in the middle of black NYC Harlem. You people really know how to pick a land to start a new nation.

See my other articles for "The Planet Israel" on my mepeace homepage.
1) All israeli citizen are aloud to vote, Arabs too. we have arab ministers and political parties
2) There is a freedom of religion and any one even if he or she was jewish can practice any religion
3) There was no "palestine" before the Zionist came and this territory was managed by the Ottoman (Turkey today) and then by the British. The Arab nation who claimed this territory fail to take responsibility over the population and actually the Zionist movement created the Palestinian identity.
4) The relationship of the Jews to this territory driven the Zionists to focus on Palestine; Now 60 years later we have a functional state with high standards of living the Arabs and the Palestinians deserve the same
5) Israel will continue to exist, we as many israelis and Zionists here wish to find a way to live in a future that include all of us
I Do not think that the Palestinian did not exist, and I see how it may be understood.

The point I am trying to make is that there was no State that was Palestine and this territory was formed by French and British officers. There was no "state" that the Jews came to take, there was Arab majority who lived under other rulers

The Zionists created tension, from their text it seem that the majority of them thought they can embed themselves in the population but all this change while the tension and the cultural conflict built up.

Today is time that we need to invest in the creation of a Independent Palestinian National state for the Palestinians who need to create their own future as Arabs and stop wait for the Arabs to make their future. I think we are nearly there ... Sadly it may take some more blood and more time
