Today is the 40th anniversary of the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. On this day of remembrance of MLK and his leadership in civil rights and non-violent resistance, I am wondering who the MLKs, the Mandelas are in Israeli and Palestinian society. I agree that real change comes from "the people", but "the people" need a leadership with such strength of character that they can move those people as a unified force for peace. How can the international community best "raise up their voices"?
