Hello Champions of Peace,
Partnership is defined as the state or condition of being a partner; participation; association; joint interest.
I am a request that we take on being partners in empowering children around the world and, most importantly in your communities. It is in partnership that Where Peace Lives will deliver on its mission: Our Mission: To teach effective conflict-resolution and peace building skills to build bridges of cultural understanding and mutual respect through art and media forwarding the conversations for peace in the world.
Where Peace Lives is committed to empowering young people to have a voice in declaring the type of world they want to live in,
How can you help?
1) Invite your MePeace Friends to join the Where Peace Lives Group and to become my friend.
2) If on Facebook, to do the same as above.
3) Become familiar with our Kids International Peace Mural Exchange and the Reel Peace Kids-Teaching-Kids through Film Making Programs by visiting our website at www.wherepeacelives.org.
3) Use your networking skills to provide introductions to media, potential corporate spopnsors and celebrity or dignitaries that could become our international spokesperson(s).
4) And, of course, help us fundraise by hosting local events or making a contribution here on Facebook or on our website.
Please contact me with any questions and feedback. Let me know what role you would like to play in "shedding a little light" on the chidren of the world and humanity.
I look forward to your reply.
Thank you for your consideration.
Much love and peace,

Hello Peacemakers,

Today I picked up a journal to begin writing down my view of my life experiences. On its cover are the words "Live, Love and Dance"

I have yet to pick up a pen, but an idea came to mind. What if we all collaborated on publishing a book on how to bring about peace for the children and the next genreations to come? What would be possible if we "shed a little light" on each of our own humanity, bridging all differences and misunderstanding regarding the insanity of conflict and the impact on all children?

It would be my intention that each of us say something new and something not based on the past and not even the present. I guess I am asking for each of us to write from a clean slate and ground our thoughts in what type of world children, particularly those in harms way, would want the opportunity to grow up in.

Basically, I am asking each of you to consider the brilliant, amazing and extraordinary

And I know I would have to give up my attachments to holding on to my past and even my present views on things. I would work on creating this beautifyul world from nothing I know or have experienced.

I have a good friend in publishing who I beleive would help us geet this published.

In terms of proceeds, we could look at revenue going to Where Peace Lives and MePeace projects in Israel and Palewstine.

I dare to speak the dreams of children for a world that allows them to grow up free, safe and strong, with a voice to declare a future of peace.

I look forward to your responses.

Thank you all for being people making a difference in the world.

Much love and peace,

Delete Discussion Hello Peacemakers,
Where Peace Lives has been nominated for a 2009 Garden State (New Jersey, USA) Film Festival Award in the Category of "Family" for its Kids-Teaching-Kids through Film Making Program completed with the Conerly Rd. School, Somerset, NJ.
This program had 1st through 4th graders look at issues they and their peers face. They then participated in improv workshops, developed skits, worked out solutions, wrote scripts, and then were filmed to share their work with all schools in the Somerset School District.
We are currently working with students at the same school focusing on addictions facing grammar school children.
Where Peace Lives is partnering with the Revision Theater of Asbury Park, NJ (www.ReVisionTheatre.org) in order to reach out to the community and start a conversation about alternative options and choices in conflict resolution.
The Revision Theater is producing "The Kingdom," inspired by the true stories of current and former Latin Kings. KINGDOM chronicles the journey of two kids from the barrio in a quest to belong - and the power struggle that tears the two friends apart. Andres and Juan are tired of being stepped on, abandoned, and poor. Juan is homeless, they’re both jobless, and no one will help them – so they decide to help themselves. They meet up with leaders of an underground organization that purports to support young Latinos: the Almighty Latin King & Queen Nation. Andres and Juan join the Nation, and their lives immediately change forever.
As the Development Director of Where Peace Lives I have entered discussions with a renown concert promoter/broadway producer to assist in enrolling a celebrity spokesperson for our organizations. Who do you know? Clearly we are only "six degrees of seperation" from having a celebrity figure (musician, musical act, actor.actress) come forward to assist in taking Where Peace Lives to the next level.
You asistance in reaching out to celebrities you know or friendsand associaties that may be in a position to make an introduction is greatly appreciated.
If you haven't viewed the website site in a while, please take a look and send me your feedback as we are constantly looking on how to improve it.
Lastly, we have five Peace Mural projects in the United States and five abroad awaiting funding. The total dollars needed to fund all programs is $15,000.00 ($2,000 each US; $1,000 each abroad). Where Peace Lives has three fundraisers planned for June and July.
Opps. One very last thing (really). I am developing Pro-Peace Sundays. The idea is to facilitate Pro-Peace Sundays at least once a month from April through September 2009 worldwide. The purpose will be to begin discussing and teaching a Culture of Peace based on a program being created by a friend with global affiliations at the highest level. I am requesting you comments, ideas and participation.
Thank you all for your friendship, love and support as well as the difference each of you make on the planet.
Much love and peace,
Jeff Rudy

Janet, there is nothing to understand. What I believe will make a difference is empowering children to declare out loud the world they want to grow up in. Where Peace Lives is committed to making sure their voices are heard and acted upon by each of us and our leaders. It is only in a new conversation for the future based not on the past or on understanding, but coming from a completely clean slate, from nothing that a culture of peace can be created.
