Former US Military who served overseas in combat. I've traveled around the world, and am blessed to be a father and the husband of a beautiful Lebanese woman who was forced to flee Beirut's violence as a small child.
Why I want peace:
I've participated in enough of the business of state sponsored death and destruction. I am a Muslim who embraces Islam, and I condemn those who advocate continuing the cycle of violence that only leads to the suffering of women and children while politicians profit from the effects of human misery.
Interests and activities:
I am an avid runner for charity causes. I do my best to voice the concerns of those who don't get portrayed to the powerful and famous. They may not change their position, but they will at least know the truth in their hearts.
Something you didn't know about me:
I am the only one who was entrusted to keep a much beloved family pie crust recipe by my Great Grandmother.
While reading about Nafez Assaily's work, I was lead to this site.
What I want to achieve here:
I once served in the Military and fought for what I believed was an honorable and just cause. Now I intend to dedicate myself to embracing a non-violent path of reconciliation and peace as a statement of faith.
