I have waited to welcome you as you have worked to express yourself here. I am afraid that you may not be open to hearing from me, but your pain and anger are very real to me, even though I am not Jewish. I can not say that I know your pain, but I can say that I understand. I am very sorry for the loss you have suffered. When I was there last fall, my group spent an afternoon with the Mizrachi community of Kfar Shalem. I was heart broken when I learned in December that the homes we had visited, had been destroyed by the government of Israel. Are you from that community? I am sad for all that are harmed by the policies that keep you at odds with each other. Whether it is the Palestinian man that can not provide for his family because of checkpoints and the wall, or you, unable to find work because of racism within Israel, in it’s result, it’s not so different. I think it was John W that you asked why he was involved with the conflict because he is not there. I don’t know about anyone else, but I can tell you what I told the farmer in Anin who asked me the same thing. I cry when Palestinian children die and I cry when Israeli children die, I cry for all the injustices done by a government that serves only itself. You can see a fuller answer on my profile. I am glad that you have connected with some of the Palestinians here. What you have in common is much greater than what separates you, and you will learn much from each other. Welcome!

Hi Ariel, first of all allow me to tell you that I am so honored to have your friendship, and I would offer you my friendship as well.

Regarding to what happened with TheFish, misunderstandings happen and it is not the end of the world we can always learn, If people like Yesha brought be down people like you and many other Israeli friends that I have will always give me hope. I am glad that you are sharing your experience with me, You had to serve in Hebron but you realize and that is a very important and good 1st step.

I am sorry to hear about what happened with your parents, we all have problems with our parents don’t we, that’s why they call them parents I think ;-)

Hi Ariel, each of us has a degree of anger inside him, and we have times when we think that no one is really understanding what we have inside our minds and our hearts. but to leave a comment to TheFish the way you did might not help to pass the ideas and the feelings you wanna share with us here. Can you tell me about your experience in Hebron?

ואגב, למה שלא תתחיל דיון משלך? יש את האופציה לכל אחד לפתוח דיון בכל נושא שהוא רוצה. אתה נכנס ל"פורום" למעלה ופותח שם שיחה. אתה גם יכול להזמין אנשים להצטרף לשיחה כדי שהם ישימו לב שהתחלת אותה

אני יודעת שיש באתר הזה אנשים שאולי מעצבנים אותך ואתה מרגיש שלא מבינים אותך כי הם גרים בחו"ל וכו', אבל תזכור למה הצטרפת לאתר הזה מההתחלה, אתה רוצה לדבר עם אנשים (בעיקר פלסטינים לפי מה שהבנתי). כדי לעשות את זה באתר הזה אתה חייב להרגיע את השפה שלך. אני לא אומרת שאתה צריך להרגיע את עצמך אם אתה לא רוצה, אבל יש לנו דרך להתבטא כאן באתר כדי לכבד אחד את השני. כבר העיפו אנשים מהאתר בגלל איך שהם התבטאו ואני ממש לא רוצה שזה יקרה לך כי מה שאתה כתוב חשוב מדיי לך ולכולנו. אז בבקשה בבקשה תמתן את השפה.

אני יודעת שמה שעברת הוא נורא ושקשה לספר את מה שאתה מספר. תשמע, אח שלי היה במחסומים רוב השירות הצבאי שלו והוא לא ממש מדבר על זה ואני ממש מכבדת אותך על זה שאתה מדבר ומספר זה חשוב כי אנשים במדינה הזאת לא באמת יודעים מה קורה שם. אבל כדי שתוכל להמשיך אתה צריך לדבר בשפה יותר יפה.
באופן אישי אני ממש רוצה שתישאר פה גם אם כואב לי לקרוא מה שאתה כותב זה ממש חשוב. אני לא אומרת לך מה לעשות אני מבקשת ממך.
