Profile Information

My personal story:
I work for a political think tank in Mumbai, India and specialize in strategic, political and security issues in the Middle East.
Why I want peace:
I am a bleeding-heart liberal. I have a penchant for Gandhian ethics of non-violence. I'm tired of people saying non-violence doesn't work - when violence hardly seems like an ameliorating force.
Interests and activities:
Sports, fitness, reading
Something you didn't know about me:
Would be something I didn't know about myself
How I found
What I want to achieve here:
A base of like-minded people.

The Mumbai attacks and a potential resurrection of the ‘War on Terror’ threaten to polarize the India-Pakistan, Israel-Palestine nexus. If not dealt with carefully, these attacks may exacerbate inter-state rivalries and consequently encourage the growth of terrorist networks instead of actually quelling the… Continue

Thank you, Gitanjali, for your constructive comments. i have lived most of my life in Israel and the lack of any direction in progress towards peace spurs me on to continue writing in the hope that peace will be viewed as an option where both sides can live in dignity and respect. I do believe that it could be achieved, not by politicians but the simple people from grass roots level. This could influence the respective leaders on both sides to move towards peace if the desire at grass roots level increases to such an extent to become a pressure point for peace.

Warmest regards and welcome
