During my education in Germany I was taught that Israeli actions are good per se and shall possibly not be furtherly reflected. Now I am more critical. Also I was educated in the framework of a light structural racist thinking (mostly towards Blacks and Arabs). When I found that out, I was shocked and reversed my view. On the other hand I was taught to be critical, open-minded and to distance myself from anything that is related to Nazis, which I find good, but not sufficient. I have participated in many international exchange programs, mainly with Arab countries. Also for a few years now I am facilitating international seminars and projects in international youth work, mostly on journalistic and intercultural topics. At the same time I have (after my studies) worked as a freelance journalist, mostly on migration topics and foreign policy, with a strong focus on topics related to islam.
The Israeli-Palestinian conflict has always played a big role in the international dialogue programs I attended. But I have never visited Israel or Palestine.
Why I want peace:
Well, I would like a situation where all human beings can live in a situation where they feel safe and free. I think we have a great guideline in the human rights declaration.
I am the founder and the organizer of : Iartexpo art as a bridge for peace, International art expo and exhibit, a non profit organization, to help Israelis and Palestinians artists, to exhibit together to dialogue together.. Here in Israel. and (hope) in Ramallah
