I am a linguist, writer and volunteer for the Cross of Nails peace organisation in Coventry, UK. We facilitate mediation events and work with partner organisations world wide. Currently I also work with children with special needs and disabilities, and will be studying for an MA in translation, writing and cultural difference at Warwick University next year. My life goal is to work for peace and reconciliation in areas of conflict and violence such as the Middle East.
Why I want peace:
I am passionate about peace and an end to conflict, having been convicted of the ravages and injustices of war since studying genocide and being involved in various memorial events and peace organisations. The Middle East has been and continues to be ripped apart and broken by violence and age-old conflict. I want to be involved and active in the movement toward peace.
Interests and activities:
I volunteer for the Coventry Cathedral and the Cross of Nails' peace and reconciliation team. Most recently I was involved in a conference for Nigerian religious leaders which aimed to discuss conflict-causing situations and find ways to work together to prevent violence in the 2015 elections.
I speak English, French and Italian and I am eager to learn other languages, particularly Arabic. I am a keen traveler.
I am a literary enthusiast and writer.
I am the founder and the organizer of : Iartexpo art as a bridge for peace, International art expo and exhibit, a non profit organization, to help Israelis and Palestinians artists, to exhibit together to dialogue together.. Here in Israel. and (hope) in Ramallah
