Because I don't see any point or future in further conflict. We may have different cultures and beliefs but at the end of the day we're all here to enjoy this chance at life....

Dear Pete, Thank you for your great insight. I totally agree that whenever someone wants to make a point they pull out of history a selective statement or event and interpret it as an endorsement for their own bias or agenda.

Are you kidding? Inviting my list was one of the first things I did :-)
we are planning on using internet options during the Peace Cafe for people that can't be there. So this can be great. I'll get back to you when we have a more concrete list of participants for the cafe, maybe we can use this to plan the cafe beforehand as well.

Dear Pete,
War can not bring Peace. What I think is much harder for the uninitiated is to forgive. People think when we forgive we do it to make life easier for the person or group we forgive. It is as much for ourselves. Carrying a chip gets heavy. It gains weight the longer we carry it. Golda and Anwar walked into the desert alone to talk. This showed so much trust and character for each. I felt the same when Anwar was killed as when JFK was killed. Amorra
