I am only child with seven brothers and sisters. Both of my fathers and my mother are passed. My husband Brian, a visual artist, and I have been together for 13 years. I have been a dancer, performance artist, poet and remain a professional storyteller as I have begun a career as a registered nurse. We have lived in the heart of the Navajo Nation since last October.
Why I want peace:
Peace is the natural state of true reality. From childhood when living on an Air Force base I have never understood why people cannot find nonviolent ways to settle differences. In my twenties I wrote I wanted to become a professional peace person. In my forties I became a Buddhist, the religion that isn't a religion, and emphasizes compassion, non-violence and the protection of all life.
Interests and activities:
Creative writing, playing Indian flute, reading, yoga, Tai Chi, bike riding, sewing
Something you didn't know about me:
If I tell you you will know.
How I found mepeace.org:
Invited by Donna Q.
What I want to achieve here:
To contribute to the spiritual energy needed to bring Peace and understanding and compassion to the problems in the Middle East.

Hi, I believe that all people are bigoted to some extent. Some of us are less bigoted than others. I think that those who sanctimoniously and bombastically rile about others are probably more bigoted than you or I. :-) ==PmR
