Thank you very much for this wonderful and expressive words
We the people do not know the impossible, we do not despair, the people wanted peace and wanted life
Despite the embargo and despite the harsh conditions we want peace and freedom for a better life than we live now
Thank you again, Madam Susan
You have my respect and appreciation
I am a journalist Issa, a Palestinian from the Gaza Strip and sexual identity
I learned a lot and many of these difficult and painful life, and despite the pain and want peace .. Peace .. Peace
I returned from Gaza on June 1 and hope to return in 2010. Life there is so difficult....beyond belief. How the people of Gaza have managed under the siege is amazing...they are resourceful, determined and have pride as Palestinians and Gazans. I truly didn't understand the siege, the fact that people in Gaza may not leave and if they do are at risk of being able to return. That only 40 items (under Israel's control) may be imported at any one time and there's no printed list, it's constantly changing.
Would like to know how the siege impacts on your daily life.
I can't even ask you about the invasion and bombardment....tell me that another time.
And, I have been giving presentations about my trip to Gaza...a power point with over 100 photos. I have it start as you did yours above with beautiful Gaza and then destruction...it is effective.
Please, share some of your life and thoughts.
Salam/Peace/Shalom
Susan
