Gaza now in "the Mud Age" one year after air strikes

Talk about abysmal. How does anyone consider peace after everything is gone and trust befooled again? Have another drink of peace koolaide from Israeli snakeoil salesman. I don't think so! For the Palestinians I will recall the Cheshire cat in his conversation with Alice:

"Would you tell me please which way I ought to go from here"

"That depends a good deal on where you want to get to"

"I don’t much care where………."

"Then it doesn’t matter which way…

Gaza Freedom Marchers issue the "Cairo Declaration" to end Israeli Apartheid

(Cairo) Gaza Freedom Marchers approved today a declaration aimed at accelerating the global campaign for Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) against Israeli Apartheid.

Roughly 1400 activists from 43 countries converged in Cairo on their way to Gaza to join with Palestinians marching to break Israel's illegal siege. They were prevented from entering Gaza… Continue

HOW TO SAVE PALESTINE? - AN URGENT MESSAGE FOR ALL MUSLIMS

Brief synopsis: The author defines Jew and Zionist while both Jews and Muslims are in fear of a blowback on all Jews resulting from political Zionism . This danger is very real, I personally worry about it all the time here in the US! Some US citizens are happy to allow Israel to eat off their plates but when the cupboards are bare these same people are going to turn! Who are they? They are the same people (type) we saw at the McCain rallies. And since they can't reach Israel they will turn… Continue

"Federation? Why Not?" by Uri Avneri

“Yes, we can!”

Good article from Uri Avnery " MAKES no sense, therefore, to discuss the idea of an

Israeli-Palestinian “federation” in general terms, without defining right from

the beginning what is meant by this. The same word, used by different people,

can express completely different and even contradictory intentions."...

in English… Continue

Uri Avneri "And Obama? Oybama"

The “freeze” is a joke. In this theater of the absurd, the settlers

take part in a performance of violent opposition that is both invited

and paid for by the government. The police does not employ against them

pepper gas, tear gas, rubber bullets and truncheons – as they do every

week against Israeli demo...nstrators who protest against the occupation.

Nor do they conduct nightly incursions in the settlements to arrest

activists – as they do now in Bilin and other… Continue

Israeli Barrier: Security or Apartheid? - Jeff Halper

The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is an issue that has divided opinions since the state of Israel was formed in 1948. What are the obstacles to achieving peace in the Middle East?

Dr. Jeff Halper is an Israeli academic and activist who is no stranger to controversy.

Jeff Halper, co-founder of the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions, explains why he believes Israel's "separation barrier" enforces apartheid between Israelis and Palestinians. He compares the Israeli West-Bank… Continue

Greeted by a knife in 2010

Here it is the 2ND of January and violence showed up right in front of me.

I am seating in a cafe just 25 minutes after I stepped in front of two men with knives arguing over something completely stupid.

This guy walked into the cafe and asked to use the bathroom. The cafe owner, Ralph, said since the guy doesn't ever buy anything in the store he can't use the bathroom.

It turns out this guy shop at the convenient store next door a few times a week and comes into the cafe and… Continue
