I just participated in a fantastic seminar put together by Peace Now. On this weekend I made wonderful new friends, courageous Israelis and Palestinians willing try new things for peace. We enjoyed dialogue, dancing, drums, the pool, and getting to know each other!
I invited my new friends to join mepeace.org. They are… Continue

I will be in the Lower Ninth Ward August 28th and 29th to clear debris and mow the weeds with my John Deere Tractor from lots that are being threatened with seizure via the New Orleans “Good Neighbor Plan”.
If any of you would like to help, bring your weed eaters and mowers to Tennessee St. in the Lower Ninth Ward, drive toward the lake.
You will see the big green tractor clearing lots of the remaining debris. I’ll show… Continue

WE will ask you to help with weakening the hurricane Dean, as you can see on the picture it is on its way to Mexico and Texas. The way we will do, is to pretend you have the planet infront of you and it have the size of an Soccerball, locate the hurricane Dean, it has the size of walnut, so it is very easy to slow it down, right? Imagine a powerball, a ball of energy and light or a Holomatric… Continue

Send Thy peace O Lord.
Prayer for Peace on Earth
Send Thy peace O Lord, which is
perfect and everlasting,
that our souls may radiate peace.
Send Thy peace O Lord, that we
may think, act and speak harmoniously.
Send Thy peace O Lord, that we
may be contented and thankful for
Thy bountiful gifts.
Send Thy peace O Lord, that amidst
our worldly strife, we may enjoy Thy bliss.

What we have here is a failure to communicate and, to be honest and forthright with the American people. It’s upsetting to think that the President believes that al Qaeda is responsible for the raging sectarian violence nor does he recognize that Americans’ support for the war broke down many, many months ago. We have grown accustomed to his disconnect from reality and yes, we are very concerned about terrorism but, it is his… Continue

WITHDRAW immediately or stay the present course? That is the key question about the war in Iraq today. American public opinion is decidedly against the war even in the "red states," more than half of Americans want out. That sentiment is understandable. The prewar dream of a… Continue

Playing Our Part: Enacting World Peace How does the average person can best participate in the effort toward a non-violent world? Relating today’s violence to ancient ways of viewing God, a more refined image of Deity is offered. People are challenged to accept responsibility for their own growth, and are given hope humanity can evolve to where peace has its first true chance. How can the average person best participate in the effort for a non-violent world? Many people sense that our planet is… Continue

It's not antisemitism, it is a balanced look at the Israel/Palestinian situation Some people say that Israel gets treated like a second class citizen in the family of nations. That's probably true. But it isn't without reason. I read the pro-Israel articles posted here and using the power of JoeUser, I'm taking advantage of the equal time this site provides to give a different point of view. The nation of Israel was a gift. Yes, Jews lived there at the time of creation and those particular Jews… Continue

I have decided to be unreasonable. I went beyond my reasons and
fears, and began to invite all my friends to join mepeace. We have to move beyond reason to make peace.
I left New York for Tel Aviv three years ago. The move seems most unreasonable, but here in Israel I feel inspired in a way I never was before. I am inspired to work for peace and have invented for myself and for my life the possibility of being unreasonable. Going beyond reason, for peace.

I am writing from the Kempinski Hotel in Ishtar, Jordan. A wonderful group of Palestinians and Israelis are here for this seminar of dialogue and conflict resolution. I have made new friends and I look forward to seeing them here on mepeace!
At the beginning of the seminar, I could not believe how beautiful the hotel is! The rooms are elegant and the service is impeccable. But even more than the hotel, I enjoy my new friends.
