Does someone know where I could find an English link to the election results on this website?!

Hi.

I received an e-mail from an activist group in Israel + Palestine, called "Act Left."

Anyways, I recieved a link about the election results for the city of Haifa, and was really eager to read it.

The only problem is that my knowledge of Hebrew is very limited, and can not understand at that level.

So if someone would be willing to either:

a) Translate it

or

b) find a link for the same article in English

That would be… Continue

Above The Clouds

Above the clouds there is always Light. As in everyday life, the darkness is obliterated by the essence of Light. The only catch being that you must allow for the brilliance to shine through.

Do not be held captive by the doom of gloom or the actions that cannot be controlled. The essence of life is exactly that - an essence. If you do not put the potpourri in the vessel then how will you be able to benefit from it's sweet aroma?

Grab your life by the testicles and give it… Continue

Where is the Honor in Honor Killing?

Every once in a while we hear of an “honor killing” carried out by a family member against one of their own. A recent article about an Iranian father who stoned his daughter to death, for bringing “dishonor” to him and to his family, is a case in point. The girl may, or may not, have consorted with a man without the father’s approval, but he took it upon himself to restore his “honor” in the cruelest way possible, by taking the life of his own flesh and blood.

How is it that people… Continue

Few words about my blog...
I would like to share with you some opinion about Jerusalem and mainly about its meeting places among different communities. I invited you to tell me its story, but not the one you can find in books. I need new authors and maybe among you I will find them! Then moving away, from Jerusalem to the net, trying to join together on ground experience and virtual experience...like travelers...

I might start another new group on here, "Windows"

Hi!

I just watched the film this weekend for the first time, "Encounterpoint," which was a documentary about Israeli and Palestinian peace activists that have come together and have worked tiredlessley for peace and justice.

One of the activists in the film, Ruti, was the founder of this magazine for Israeli and Palestinian children. She created it during the midst of the first intifada, and was inspired by a similar magazine that existed in apartheid South Africa.

I really… Continue

Really cool Israeli Wokers website

I found this really cool Israeli workers website, which talks about the status of foreigners, minorities and Palestinians working in Israel.
It sounds really cool, and I am hoping to post a lot of articles about them:

COs Sahar Vardi and Raz Bar-David Varon Sentenced to 21 Days in Prison

I received an e-mail about how this young, 18 year old girl refused to serve in the IDF (all healthy, abel bodied Israelies must join the army). Her name is Sahar Vardi, and after reading her letter for refusal, she reminded me very much of myself when I was 18 years old. It is sad to see such as sweet, innocent girl end up in jail.

I am thinking of writting of writting a letter to her.

Here is a picture of her as… Continue

The Noosphere of Light and Life Is Here - Part 2 History of Concept

History of concept

One of the original aspects of the noosphere concept deals with evolution. Henri Bergson (1907) was one of the first to propose that evolution is 'creative' and cannot necessarily be explained solely by Darwinian natural selection. L'évolution créatrice is upheld, according to Bergson, by a constant vital force that animates life and fundamentally connects mind and body, an idea opposing the dualism of René Descartes. In 1923, C. Lloyd Morgan took this work… Continue

Forgiveness and The Trinity of Life

I must apologize, for I have forgotten to spread the word of "FORGIVENESS" on many an occasion. I so often speak and relay the message of peace, love and unity, but, in reality to have the blessings of their Trinity one must first be capable of and have the overstanding of "FORGIVENESS". For that is the key to achieving the Trinity.

As in all that we learn or teach in our lives it often takes a nudge from a colleague or… Continue

Raining at my poor area which's called Al-shati refugges camp in Gaza

Something about Al-shati refugees camp :

Beach camp lies beside the sea in the northern part of Gaza City. It is known locally as "Shati" camp. The camp was established on 747 dunums (less than one square kilometer) after the 1948 conflict for some 23,000 refugees from Lydda, Jaffa, Beersheva and the southern coastal plain of Palestine.

The refugees first lived in tents and were… Continue

Can Barack Obama Deliver On A Vision of Hope?

Barack Obama is the president-elect; a momentous event in the annals of American history, and an inspiration to people all around the world. President-elect Obama campaigned on a vision of hope, and in many ways, his life’s story inspires a sense of hope: born into relative poverty, raised by a single mother, abandoned by his father, turning away from the reckless abandon of his youth toward the pursuit of the finest education, turning away from the pursuit of profit toward helping his own… Continue

In America I am excited because . . .

Today, I am excited because I know I am a part of history. In America, today we were able to exercise our God given right-- that of voting. If Obama wins he will be noted as America’s first African-American President and I shall be most happy! If McCain wins, I will congratulate the spirit of his come back, as this type of spirit is rooted in the souls of Americans but I shall also be sad for America and Americans. These past eight years have been, if I may paraphrase from Charles Dickens, “the… Continue
