On this day, October 2, 1869, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. He was later given the name "Mahatma" - great soul.
I am currently reading an enjoying "An Autobiography or The Story of my experiments with truth" by Gandhi. I am inspired by Gandhi's unrelenting search for truth, and his total commitment to peace.

My favortie Gandhi quotes:

"Be the change you want to see in the world."
"I want freedom for the full expression of my personality."
"Whatever you do will be insignificant, but it is very important that you do it."
"Victory attained by violence is tantamount to a defeat, for it is momentary."
"An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind." (attributed)
"I think it would be a good idea." (when asked what he thought of Western civilization)

Let us all be inspired to invest in peace.
