Abstract:  

Our world is divided and conflict-torn, socially and ecologically unsustainable due to erosion of ethics & cultural values. The world has been transformed into a Global village & presently we are living in the age of crisis. Present global scenario is distinguished by high levels of turbulent changes, uncertainty and global competition&global recession. We are living in a rapidly changing society, in the age of globalization and the age of Cultural Revolution.

Globalization is a complex Phenomenon, marked by two opposite forces; on the one hand it is characterized by massive economic expansion & technological innovation .On the other hand there is increase in inequality, poverty, cultural & social turnout & the individual alienation in the central Asian countries. Capitalism and Western culture models affecting development process & dissolving family and community social controls as witnessed by higher rates of family violence, rape, divorce, and family breakdown due to erosion of ethics& cultural values.Ethics &cultural values are eroding at a very fast rate resulting in a decline in the quality of life of the people. At the dawn of the new millennium, what is required most is “Ethics & Cultural value’s transformation for development & social change in Central Asian Countries in XXI Century.

The paper on “Ethics & Cultural Values for development & Social Transformation in Central Asian Countries in XXI Century” is based on Mahatma Gandhi’s Philosophy of Ethics  & Social movement of   holistic Sustainable Development.

The main objectives of the Paper on are:  To understand the Globalization & its impact on the development process in Central Asian countries.

The paper tries to explore the Ethics, universalcultural & spiritual Values requited for Social transformation and for creating a social transformation in Central Asian countries  in 21st century. The 21st century belongs to Asia forsocial change &transformation in world economy   - as India will be emerging as super economic& spiritual power by 2030 through Ethics & cultural values for social change & holistic development. The paper provides framework of Ethical Leadership for creating Global citizens for social change & sustainable future.
