Invitation to a weekend of Interpersonal dialogue between Palestinians, Israelis and Internationals

The Center for Emerging Futures (CEF), a small organization which I am a volunteer in, invites you to a meeting beyond opinions, fears, simplistic solutions and politics, A meeting of Palestinians, Israelis & Internationals, a human gathering of listening and co-creation

30-31 October, Everest Hotel, Beit Jala.
Hours:Friday: 10:00 – 18:00, Saturday: till 16:00

You are invited to a warm human meeting of listening, getting to know each other and trust building. This is the 6th meeting organized by CEF. The previous meetings were a great success and allowed participants to open up to themselves and each other, and to the complexity of the situation in our region. People who participated in previous meetings said:
"It would be great if more people from both sides could come to these meetings. It is a great opportunity to meet the other side and see that they are not as horrible as we thought and actually they are as human as us"
In addition to Palestinians and Israelis there are also internationals that take an important role in the meetings. These people come from many places around the world to learn, to support and to participate in the trust building process. Internationals who participated in the previous meetings said:
"This was a great opportunity to connect to the great energies that exist in this part of the world. We learn from you and benefit from the warmth and humanity here. It was a great privilege to take part in this event"

Hi Mira - thank you for asking. The Everest Hotel in Beit Jala is one of the common places to have these kinds of meetings, because it is relatively easy for Palestinians to get there. Indeed, it doesn't change the basic situation of the checkpoints, including the "surprises", but again, it is relatively accessible.
There are no organized rides from Ramallah, but please - if you have a specific question pls send me mail and we can think of ways to help Palestinian friends to come. By the way, will you be with us?

sounds great- i sent the invitation to all my friends. however, i would like to know how easy it is for Palestinians from the west bank to get there. some of my friends say that sometimes there are "surprise" checkpoints and so they have to wait for hours. will there be a ride to the hotel from Ramallah?
