Hey mepeace peeps,
While there is a war in Gaza, I'm sitting in Tel Aviv grappling with peace; the rock solid belief that I once had in peace, is slowly crumbling, but resisting turning into sand.
To try and understand this draining experience, I've been writing a lot on my blog "sababi,"
which means "awesome" in Arabic and modern day Israeli slang. I haven't figured out how to get my blog on blogger to post here automatically, like I do in facebook, but I don't doubt that this innovation will come soon if "mepeace.org" is really going to take off.
In the meantime, I'm going to drag a few stories, poems and articles that I wrote on my blog and see if any discussion starts brewing here. Writing for writing's sake is part of the practice, but if the writing never prompts any discussion it's pointless.
Lastly, since this post is open for "everyone" to read, I wanted to say how welcome I feel in this community. I was invited by my father Jon Ramer during the beginning of the war in Gaza and was resistent to join a peace network in a time of war. However, I've found people from the community really reaching out, and me needing people to reach out to in order to continue this struggle of beliving in peace.
B'Shalom v' Sallam,
