It is great to see Naser Najar’s smile when he tells of how most of his food that he eats or drinks comes from the tunnels. To smile in the face of such indignity shows such optimism and spirit; when he could choose to respond justifiably [but to no avail] with anger and vengeance.

Great to see the Jewish-Israelis and Palestinian-Israelis who joined in solidarity against the siege; one year on from the Gaza 2008/09 attack.

“They were like ambassadors of their countries.”

Adam Keller – identifies that the pretext of the siege is the keeping of Gilad Shalit. Real purpose of the siege was to try and get the people to revolt from Hamas. [But this strategy is not working]

Rohana – for most Jews in Israel won’t give up their colonial status and that is why there is a call for a boycott of Israel to put pressure on Israel to change.

Closing comments: “We can’t handle losing another generation – from both sides.”
