Anna Hazare's fasting at Ramlila Maidan, New Delhi, India has entered 10th day today (25.08.2011). Anna is an honest man and a dedicated social worker. He is also a genuine patriot. His cause is noble; there is no doubt about it. But the prime question is which class interest his entire effort would serve if at all he gets success in his mission? It is definitely the multinationals who (find the state structure to be the barriers to flow their capital investment in India, the way they like) will be benefited out of this movement. Secondly, who are in the helm of affairs of Anna episode? It is the upper class people who have been identified as Indians and not Bharatiyas. The Bharatiyas have different class interests. They are suffering from the onslaughts of inflation, unemployment, job insecurity, food insecurity, malnutrition, social discrimination, etc. The whole superstructure of the present economy, polity and administration has been developed on the footings of corrupt practices. Its (malpractices) germs have entered into the gene of the economy and at this juncture when multinational capital is facing problem to penetrate into it (Indian economy), to give it a boost for their own interests, then there is a hue and cry of corruption in the air led by Mr. Anna. To root out this corrupt we need to restructure our system from grassroots level. Anna's so called protest is futile in the sense that it has no base in the grassroots. And if at all it (movement against corruption) get success, it will cripple the sovereignty of the nation and allow the multinationals to flourish at their own terms and finally it will lead us to another terms of bondage by the foreigners/multinationals (Indian foreigners) .
